GT4 was great. The pinnacle. It all went wrong after that and rivals raced ahead. Turn 10 have made a bit of a mess of Forza 7 here though. Look at Jim Sterling's rant today lol

Yes. Gt4 was amazing. I still enjoyed gt5. But didnt like the fact that you cant fully modify a used car. I was really looking forward to gt sport but not so much now.

I tried the prologue version and wasnt that keen so didnt bother with full game. Anyone remember the endurance races?

I loved the endurance races. Unfortunately, due to having my cars so heavily modded (my 760bhp Mitsubishi Evo V was hard to beat), they were generally pretty easy to win,. But there was still the enjoyment of keeping concentration for that length of time.
GT2 and GT4 were the best. Couldn't get into anything GT related after 4. Now utterly skint so will listen to friends and colleagues regaling me with their experience of playing GT Sport, and I shall reminisce about how I once had the time and money to do that

If you do find your PS1 and start playing it now, does that mean you would end up sinking your manhood into it!?!? You're one sick puppy!!!

I seem to remember GT3 being pretty good, and I didn't play GT4 but I remember hearing good things about it - definitely a technical marvel, I seem to remember.
It's a series of games that I've always wanted to be more into than I actually am - I enjoy them, I'm just terrible at them, which makes it really frustrating. So I'm happy there's a demo, see if I can get into this one!

I didn't like the slower frame rate of gt3 compare to gt2, yes the graphics where better but the feel of the game was gone, gt4 was close but still not there, I just hope this one can get that feel back and I wish they can set up an online challenge with just controller's and not these steering wheels.

From what I've read, the PSX Gran Turismos only ran at 30fps (although there was a certain time trial mode that ran at 60fps that you could unlock in the first game, not sure about the second), whereas GT3 and 4 both ran at 60fps - although apparently GT4 struggled to hit 60 a lot of the time. But yeah, the PS3 ones certainly struggled with frame rate. Sport looks silky smooth at 1080p60 though, so at least it's got that right.

Yeah fully agree with everything you said but I should have been clearer on my point, gt3 just looked slower as did gt4 but not as bad while gt1 and 2 looked way faster by that I mean the cars just looked like they where travelling faster around the track giving an effect like the frame rate was faster, I hope that makes some kind of sense. I also liked the fact every track kept it's fastest lap time in every race which they took away in every game after gt2.

"We are excited to announce a GT Sport 4-day demo, via PlayStation Store from 9th October 10am (BST) through 12th October 2pm (BST) with pre-download available from 7th October at 10am (BST)."
Hasn't been specified so I'm assuming not.

You won’t no, In the GT Sport Beta you weren’t required to have PS+ & Could race online as well. And the same will apply here too. Great news for those on the fence for it! Luckily I’m off for 4 Days so this will be perfect for me to test My T500RS on it as I contemplate updating to the pricey T-GT!

How does the T500RS compare with the Logitech g29? Does it have three pedals and a shifter?

T500RS Is in a class of It's own compared to the G29. T500RS has very strong FFB Strongest of all the Wheels for a very long time. The T-GT Is a more powerful version of the T300RS & The G29 is an Update over the G27 but after racing with Thrustmaster for many years now going back to a G29 feels incredibly dated and inaccurate. I would spend the extra money and get a T500RS if you were looking at a new wheel! I may even have mine for Sale for a very reasonable price after I've made my mind up to Upgrading to a T-GT.

Started out with GT but I gave up on GT after 5. Forza was so much better it was ridiculous.
Polyphony look like they are just making this game for competitive multiplayer series it seems, something I don't give a toss about considering the series roots were all about the career mode
