I posted this a while ago, it has appeared since but not for a while so thought it was time it was advertised again. It's a really useful app and may save someones life one day! The main link is for Android, there are links below for Apple and Blackberry.
St John Ambulance is determined that no one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. This app includes the latest first aid advice and protocols for dealing with emergency situations. It is simple to follow with illustrated guides and voiced instructions.
The app doesn’t replace the benefits of learning first aid on a St John Ambulance course, nor is it as in depth as a full first aid manual. But when there is an emergency, it will help you to know what to do to in those few crucial moments when basic knowledge of first aid can make the difference.
Nothing is more tragic than a life lost needlessly. You can be the difference between life and death.
Please note: The first aid advice is based solely upon UK protocols. Both the UK and European emergency service numbers are provided.
Thanks! It looks a bit lazy reposting some of my old items but the ones I chose (I felt) were worthy of a repost!

No, but if someone treats you correctly and saves your life with CPR (will almost certainly break a couple of ribs doing compressions....80% chance) then you can sue them! or at least that used to be the case when I did Red Cross (years ago) - insurance was a must!

Our terrible "where there's blame, there's a claim" culture. It does my head in.

Bull **** no one has ever been sued for using first aid a couple of cracked ribs are better than brain damage due to oxygen starvation or even death, your not doing it right if you dont pop a few ribs

But what if you get the app, don`t look at it till an event occurs, then do it wrong? (Don`t panic, don`t panic....)

You don't break ribs, just pop cartilage in between ribs (still a horrible sound and feeling)

My partner went on a first aid course last week and the women doing the course recommend that everyone on the course install this app as it has so much useful and lifesaving information on it and even said that she could learn more from the app than the first aid course itself.
If this is reposted a 100x who cares if it saves even just 1 life.
Here have some heat! =)
