These are terrible tyres. My 330e came with the 18 inch version of these and all the others at work came with Bridgestone, no idea why but what I can say is that they don't cope with the 350 lb foot of torque that it puts through the rear wheels. They have always been a crap tyre and the price reflects that. Much better with a decent mid range like khumo, Avon or Hankook than these.

Pirelli P7 get good reviews. They're a good tyre.
Perhaps you are the weak link.

Some good bargains on tyres from Amazon lately , got myself some of these :-
Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 - 245/45/R18 100Y - B/A/68 - Summer Tire - £73.67 each
Also, stock up on several tyres, and if you're spending over £100 choose Prepay for a £5 bonus

The P7s that were on our car when we bought it frightened me. And the worst thing was the damn things wouldn't wear out. After a scary experience, just hitting some standing water at about 50mph, I said sod it and bought some Uniroyal Rainsport 3s. Much, much safer tyre in all conditions, but the downside is they do wear quite quickly.

Do Local garages get funny about fitting your own tyres ? Heard prices are about £15 removing any discount benefits hence always hesitated with delivery only tyres.

every case is unique! my local lads are very helpful and will fit a corner for £5 (includes disposing of old tyre and alignment) - but then I do use them for other work such as MOTs
I think £10 is more typical - sure if you can get a supply & fit price that's only £10-15 more than Amazon + pay local fitters, then you might want to go down that route instead

In my experience, yes. I bought some of these amazon.co.uk/Sum…QRC and couldn't get any garage to fit them. In fact, some of them were quite rude. The word "specsavers" was used on one, hurtful, occasion

Typically my bmw f31 states 205 60 16r Which are 30 quid at least per tyre more than these. Will double check with my garage as need 2 new tyres but don't fancy 80 quid per corner.
