Heat. Use with a smart plug and you’ve got a WiFi Coffee Machine

I have had trouble with coffee machines in the past that they never make the water hot enough, nor keep the resultant coffee hot enough. After adding milk I end up reheating in a microwave.
Anyone know if these are are any good?

I have this model, or very similar that I've had for years, no it doesn't get the water hot enough in my opinion, and so I usually have to put my cup in the microwave for 30 seconds! It doesn't get get much use....

Microwave your milk for 40-50 secs while the coffee brews. It'll warm and froth a little, pour into coffee, job done.

You do know that coffee shouldn't be roasting but in fact warm...

Yeah, coffee machines never seem to make it quite hot enough (at least not cheap ones - apparently expensive ones have better temperature control but I think the most I've ever spent on one is £40). Mine is fine during warm weather (even if adding cold milk), in not-so-warm weather it's just the right temperature to drink as soon as it's poured out and in winter it gets too cold to drink really quickly if put into a cold mug.
So, in addition to heating your milk, I'd also add the suggestion of boiling the kettle and using a bit of hot water to heat the mug before putting the coffee in (handy if you always find yourself having to make a cup of tea for someone whenever you go to get your coffee  ). Otherwise get a cafetiere or an aeropress or something else where you start with much hotter water.
You're not supposed to use boiling water to brew (unlike tea) because that would burn the coffee, but it's still supposed to be pretty hot (some people say 80 degrees, some say 90-95) but most coffee machines like this don't even seem to get that high.

It's not what you are looking for if that's your desire.
I drink my coffee black and initially it's hot but only keeps the remaining coffee warm for 30-45 mins.....
Then it turns off

The trick is to first put the cup containing the milk into the microwave for about one minute. Not long enough to boil the milk, but enough to heat it and the cup. Hot coffee

I think a kettle, thermometer and a french press would get you better coffee.
But hot for the price, nonetheless.

I have a French press for work (works great but slightly annoying to clean) and just bought this coffee maker specifically for mornings when I generally wake up incapable of complex tasks (like getting out of bed) without hideous amounts of caffeine

I've got one of these and it works fine. Coffee stays plenty hot enough for me. Only really pain is the short time auto cut off (20 mins from memory).... Way too short in my opinion.....

Auto cut is due to EU regs (opens brexit can of worms... Swiftly exits building...)

Bargain! I just broke the glass jug (as always seems to happen eventually) and a replacement is more expensive than this whole machine. Really ticks me off having to throw out a perfectly good machine when only the jug is broken.
