Good price for this. Currently still £17.99 at Grainger, or £15 instore at CEX (£17.50) delivered.

The voice commands are pretty useful so long as you disable Cortana; she's/it's less than useless.

+1 for the voice control. Not as responsive as Alexa but very handy to be able to turn the console on and off (along with the TV and sound system via the IR Blaster), and control the TV and other apps (Xbox - watch BBC1 etc).
Main reason I am sticking with the old Xbox One rather than upgrading to the S or X, as I believe the adaptor is upward of £30 alone

The adaptor was free from MS if you provided serial numbers of the kinect and old and new consoles, though I'm not sure if they still do this. They SHOULD IMHO as they are the ones that chose to make it incompatible, if they had just kept the relevant port there would be no need to that stupid big adaptor that actually has to be powered too!

...or just used USB in the first place :raised_hand:
The free offer from MS was for a limited time, so doesn't help people like me who didn't buy an S when they first released, or those who bought an S without previously owning an original One

Makes for an amazing Webcam on the Xbox though, I use it on Skype all the time.
The adapter isn't worth buying for Windows though, the camera just doesn't work like a normal camera and you cannot use it as a Webcam without a hack.

Mind I can attest the games do look crisp and nicer on 4K and obviously you can play 4K blurays which is awesome so I'd recommend upgrade if they mean anything to you that is but I'm sad and love 4K stuff

They should have at least gone down the road of the PS move controller to accompany this. Was really hoping for some sort of shooter for it instead of the usual jumping up and down and waving your arms about games. Heat added for the price though but I still don't think I can justify buying one.

Can this be connected to Android boxes for Skype etc?

About £30 for the adapter!! Admittedly I haven't spent ages looking around, that was a quick 5-minute Google, but there didn't seem to be anywhere cheaper. The free adapter offer ended in March apparently.
So while the Kinect for £15 is cheap, it's not cheap if you own an S :disappointed:
