Thought this price was worth a punt for this WIFI camera. I've been using this for a few months now and it's been great.

I wonder why could it be that I feel uneasy to stick in my WiFi network a nameless network device, sold by what is to all extent and purposes an unaccountable and unreacheable seller across the world?

I agree but do you really think the established brands are really that more accountable and cannot easily be hacked etc

This looks like the one i received yesterday from Banggood that i cant get working. I set my phone beside the router with the app searching for wi-fi and it couldn't find it. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but don't think so. It was my first delivery from Banggood and it only took two weeks which i thought was quick

Would normally place the phone next to the camera, not the router, but both within reasonable range of the router.

Are you trying to connect the phone to a wifi network created by the camera (camera AP mode) or attempting to transfer the password for the existing domestic wifi to the camera? What is the name of the app? Take to PM if convoluted.

i have 3 of the Digoo 1080p version hook up to my network via wifi. The
setup has been very stright forward for me. Using the DigooEye app. You simpley enter your router wps password into the app and have the app search for the camera using the wifi smart link. Place the phone next the the camera with the volume turn up. It will start to make some buzzing/frequency noise and after 10-15 secends done. I'm able to view the camera on my phone when out and about. I have one of them power with a power bank so I can place it near to the window to view my driveway. Very happy with the product.

I had trouble with my one until I had to turn my fone off silent and turn the volume up....now it works a treat and can even work away from home on 4g network

Had similar experience. It's possibly the router firewall. Temporarily turn it off, pair, then put it back on.

Might be your wifi encryption type is not compatible or that you're not broadcasting 2.4GHz. I've got two wireless routers in my house and these cheapo camera's connect fine to the older D Link router but always struggle with the latest Virgin Media router.

Anyone know if this has IR-Cut and works with TinyCam Pro? Thanks.

I had similar issue with other cam from Camnopy. Figured out that manually adding cam details sort out this issue.

It will work perfectly fine for 3 months. Then it will update the firmware and will stop working. As these are all ip locked or country locked . I had this problem with mine and that's the only information I could get from them

DO you have virgin...might be an idea to turn off 5ghz temporary and connect to the camera first then turn 5ghz back on, in the router....I think ur fone might be connected to 5ghz wifi thats why ur camera cant connect to your fone.
Virgins latest hub has 5ghz and 2.4ghz together so it only shows 1 wifi to connect to on ur fone...the older hubs let u choose on ur fone which wifi u want to connect to, or it usually connects to the strongest signal.
