Groundsheet not sewn in are for the 5 and 6 berth tents only. The 8 more than likely does

I haven't looked but why more likely if the same range? My experience from this style of tent, from other brands, is that the central "living" space has had a "bath tub" separate groundsheet, whilst the bedrooms have them sewn in.

Found this in the questions section on Amazon, although realise that the questions and reviews seem to be the same whether you select the 5, 6 or 8, man version.
Q: Does this tent have a 100% sewn in ground sheet? I.e no gaps or flaps. So fig can't escape or wind can blow in. Pictures would be great to see. see less
Answer this question A: The inner tent has a sewn in ground sheet but the lounge part does not but it sits on flaps of the tent so that pretty well sealed see less Amazon Customer | 3 weeks ago

Like you said the loose ground sheet could just as likely refer to the 5 and 6 man tents. My Vango 800 has the central living space sewn in. I've never seen any different in this design where the 2 bedroom spaces are either end? I also own an airgo nimbus 8 which again is the same. Which models of this design are you referring too?
