Carrier fails doing 70mph down a dual carriageway...
Though it's pain to lift heavy bikes onto the roof, such carriers are easier in my view as its much quicker to secure the bike when compared to using a carrier that goes on the back of the car.
Might be good for short trips though.

Watch out for covering your rear lights.
