Water doesn't taste of plastic in my opinion but people might be surprised to know that the blue LED stays on permanently (unless boiling in which case it's red) and can't be switched off unless you isolate at the mains. The lid open button and the switch on button are also the wrong way around for me personally and I still can't get used to it. Wouldn't buy this again if I had the choice.

"Material: Plastic"
Bad idea healthwise to be repeatedly boiling drinking water in plastic.
COLD.

Yep, look at the millions of people who died of plastic poisoning in the 80s and 90s when nearly all kettles were plastic. Even now most kettles have plastic components inside.

You're really not the brightest are you? Look at all the millions of people who die or become disabled in old(er) age due to cancer and thousands of other diseases and medical conditions and ask yourself what lifestyle choices have contributed to that. For example, for many years alot of manufacturers thought that BPA and phthalates were safe. Go and drink a BPA / phthalates solution every day for a decade or feed an endocrine disruptor to your kids and see what happens. Ingest some microplastics while you're at it too and see what happens.
Almost all the plastic ever produced is still here somewhere on the planet in one form or another and will remain here for centuries to come, possibly thousands of years.
Opening post
Powerful – Faster boiling from the 2200W element. (I know most people would like a 3000W element but for under £20.00 I think this is OK
