Awesome price! A month ago I've paid £289 from JL. But this price is crazy good

I have tried many handsets but these are just the best. The sound is perfect, the bass feels good, and the noice cancelation works perfectly. I really recommend them. You won't be disappointed - I guarantee

Anyone got experience with this company? Will you face custom charges from they?

No issues with eGlobal myself after a few purchases. I wouldn't recommend them for buying these headphones though. Although they are great they do have some quality control issues. Best to buy locally. Prices should also tumble locally with the new model recently announced

No issues with eGlobal for myself either. I ordered LG G6 two months ago, delivered in 8 days.

I was put off these headphones by the widespread headband cracking issue. The new version recently announced shouldn't have this issue (new design, new materials).

The Sony warranty covers replacements if that happens. That said I haven't noticed it happening to mine despite owning them for a couple of months.

Well you'd expect so but I heard plenty anecdotes where Sony told customers with cracked headphones to go forth and multiply.

Ok, now go and Google this. Sony have been less than stellar in supporting buyers.

In a timeline of events it went: Sony think you broke your headphones, no warranty for you Sony realised there's a genuine problem Sony honours their warranty
Unfortunately loads of places reported the first bit and not the third bit. Google a bit harder, the first bit happened in May, the third bit in July. The only reason I felt okay buying these headphones is because I found Sony's change of heart updates.

Links? Even looking on the Sony forums as little as a month ago there were tales of woe as far as their warranty was concerned, not sure I've seen much to the contrary.
As for the buyers on this thread and indeed the reason for highlighting this, there is a huge chance you will be impacted by the headband cracking in their useful life and as buyers from the grey market you will have ZERO coverage from Sony or eGlobal.
If you're buying headphones of this calibre from other regions, get some QC35 or PXC550 which have no such quality issues.
Steer clear
NB - there's also a newer QC35 coming.

Official statement from Sony Europe in the linked article: reddit.com/r/h…a87
The tl;dr is that the US branch are still being nasty, but the EU (and therefore UK) has stronger laws on this kind of thing, so Sony Europe are doing the right thing and honouring warranties.

So where is the official statement from Sony UK that they will unequivocally cover this issue under warranty? I see nothing.
You're linking to the US community pages which are served by Sony Corporation of America, different company, different return rules. Their rules do not apply to us. Their situation is not the same as ours.
I agree this is a mess, furthered by the way most websites are US-oriented, but it's possible to dig through if you remember the internet is not one country.

New version announced recently. Already released in us. I would spend a little extra and wait for them.

I have these headphones and while they sound brilliant with excellent noise-cancelling the headband cracking issue and Sony's attitude towards the problem and their customers (until very recently) has been appalling. Supposedly the problem was limited to a range of serial numbers. Either wait for the new version or buy one of the competitors products -preferably from a company that doesn't try to wiggle out of their responsibilities. Oh, and if you do buy these, make sure you keep proof of purchase because Sony won't honour any warranty claims without this.

struggled between these and the bose qc35 for a while. finally got to compare side by side, and it's a case of to each their own but to me, bose blew these out the water. slight difference in base, but the noise cancellation of the bose, as well as build quality, is far superior. Got the bose at a similar price, too - new...

Again, with regards to people buying these thinking they're getting a bargain. Sony will laugh at you if you try to claim on your UK warranty.
Get some refurbed PXC550 from the Senn Outlet and have piece of mind:
