Why the flood of Octavia deals? Is there a new one due.

they have released a new improved 1.5 petrol engine to replace the 1.4
Guferos to afroylnt
7y 31d#9
The 1.5 petrol engine has only slightly improved economy (combined from 54.3mpg to 57.7mpg) due to Active Cylinder Management system, otherwise than that it is basically the same engine. For £15 more monthly (£163.25 incl VAT ) you can have 1.5 TSI version, but is it worth it? I don't think so.
Simply doing more than 8 miles per month in a 1.5 TSI EVO will make it economically worth it...
Guferos to m5rcc
7y 31d#15
Could you enlighten me how did you come to that conclusion? If you do the 8k contract miles a year then it is 666 miles a month (nice number anyway).
666 miles / 57.7mpg = 11.54 gallons = 52.39 litres a month 666 miles / 54.3mpg = 12.26 gallons = 55.68 litres a month
Difference is 3.29 litres which gives you £3.91 savings a month (£1.19 avg price of unleaded atm).
So it does not make it economically worth it ....

You've assumed I use standard unleaded...

You must be using rocket fuel.

what happen if the car got scratch or dents due to the lease? Do they charge extra?
Mada06 to aizberg
7y 31d#6
You are borrowing someone elses car so yes you will be penalised if you damage it. However there are fair wear and tear guidelines that most finance companies adhere to.

7y 31d#7
If you think you're gonna cause damage you can get a specialist insurance policy to cover you.
collectorcol to ollie87
7y 31d#10
I highly doubt anyone sets out to cause damage.

7y 31d#22
That's not what I said though.

good find. Wasn't too sure about a 1.4 TSI in a car of this size but if it is indeed c150PS then still adequate and considering the price it's great.

7y 31d#11
This deal does not appear to exist: the 3+23 deal for this 1.4 TSI SE Technology is £163.20 per month or £4,542 total:

No company should be allowed to put the extra charges outside the monthly cost. "Processing cost" adds more than £10 extra per month to the cost. Same with the broadband shisters.
m5rcc to myjess
7y 31d#17
No law against it.

AND YOU WILL BE THE ENVY OF ALL YOUR NEIHJBOIRS WITH A SKODA BADGE, hahahahaha NOT!!! My dad had a skoda in the 90s, JUST awful cars, it couldnt get up the hill. Spend a litrle more, Mercedes, BMW or Audi all day, EVERY DAY!!!

and if you take your
blinkers off you will wake up in 2017.
I have just got an Octavia estate as a company car, previously
I had a BMW 320D.
The Skoda is comfier, has a far better stereo and media
system, is a smoother drive, adaptive headlights and has a lot more power, ok I
have the vrs diesel with 183bhp. The only plus for the BMW was the MPG, 55 v 45
for the Skoda.

But your driving a skoda and no one even looks at you, your now a no one. A BMW gave u respect!!!!!

7y 31d#34
I find people tend to respect German cars a lot less on the motorway than Japanese or other European brands. Probably largely down to the Audi/BMW (i'm better than you mentality) stigma.
cuslund to 118luke
7y 31d#38
Its because i am better than you. Cars tell people alot about a person, My Merc tells everyone I have done well so you should get out my way with you nasty cheap leased skoda!l, thats NOT even yours!!!!! hi

7y 31d#39

7y 31d#25
But this is not the 90s anymore.
My Octavia is a fantastic car. Comfy, well equiped, looks great, 60+ MPG easily with plenty of power when needed.
Oh, and grow up!

You can't spell, you have little knowledge of how grammar works, I would lay off the weed and concentrate on the basics in life. There's no way anyone would take your 'advice' seriously. I imagine the only Audi's, Mercs and BMW's you have laid your hands on are ones you've had for a few hours whilst the police have been chasing you.

Ooooh, you sound like you really know your stuff - I'm sure nobody would have ever thought about grouping those three brands together.
