For balance I have 2 friends with these headphones and the microphones aren't great. One of them makes clicking/buzzing noises when muted as well. Not sure the quality control is that great.
I've had no complaints on my Kingston HyperX Cloud II which cost me about a third of this.

Sounds like a motherboard earthing issue. Each to their own but lets get one thing straight the Kingston HyperX Cloud II are not in the same class as these, and other high end Sennheiser gaming head phones

As I said I've got 2 friends with these and both are poor quality. The clicking/buzzing on one of the units is something to do with the microphone hinge which needs to be moved to mute the headset. This has persisted across a complete rebuild of his system so it's no earthing issue.
Please provide some evidence as to why the Cloud II's are not "in the same class" as these. They are universally acclaimed and the microphone quality is excellent, I've had a marked improvement over a £250 headset I was using previously. Having held both units in person the Sennheisers are much flimsier in quality and nothing about them suggests the RRP ought to be over double. Perhaps the audio quality on them is better if you are some sort of audiophile but given these are gaming headphones I don't think that really matters, the Kingstons are perfect for gaming.
"Although the Kingston HyperX Cloud II only costs £75, you’d be hard pressed to find a better-sounding wired headset at any price. The stereo sound is powerful and detailed, with the 53mm drivers providing plenty of punch in the low-end, while also being sprightly at the high-end."
Just because the Sennheisers have the brand name on them doesn't make them worth 3 times the amount.
Same website gives them a lower score and that's without any of the quality control issues I've personally witnessed on two separate headsets (on separate PCs):
+1 I also have a friend with a pair of these Sennheisers whilst I personally have a pair of HyperXs, and couldn't agree more with the flimsy feeling I get with said Sennheisers. I have also been told by other gaming friends that my (the HyperX) mic seems to be 'better' (never specified in what way) compared to the Sennheisers. Another thing you may want to note is that the HyperXs envelope your ears better so you get much less background noise. For those interested, I also have a pair of Logitech G930, G430, Qpad QH-90 (basically same as the HyperX Clouds), and a HyperX Cloud X, and I find the HyperX/QPads to be the best of the bunch.

People never heard of burn in time for better quality headphones like pc350se it takes few weeks for ur ears to adjust. So some people give them poor reviews. Go on any audiophile forum all of them will say exactly same thing. 350se mic is considered one of the mics for headset. Also this comes from a person who owns both of them. Also u need amp to drive these cause they are over

I’m just going from what Argos posted. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case.
Sorry but that site is pointless for comparing anything other than specs, and you can get that from their sales pages. The site is better used as a basis for deciding what features are important and then referencing established review sites for a more comprehensive view. As to which is better well that really depends on whether you prefer the inferior fake simulated 5.1 sound or the far superior stereo sound.

Mine have had 8 years of abuse (original 350's) and the cables still work, mic is fine. Had new pads but that's to be expected.
These do need a good headphone amp, even my Asus R5E with so called 600ohm support made them tinny so I bought the creative zxr and never looked back.
Opening post
ARGOS RRP £199.99 / AMAZON RRP £169.99
Either way, they're the same price right now.
