Was literally just looking at Leon deals. I have a 150 Diesel now but I own it... keen to get into finance perhaps with the uncertainty around Diesels. Would want a 150 though, can't go smaller now. Will browse.

Yes I currently own a car with a Diesel engine and considering selling it now it's still worth something. So looking at 2nd hand petrol cars and leasing to figure out what makes most (financial) sense. Would prefer to keep the current Diesel vehicle but a parking permit for Diesels down here is already more expensive already than petrol, and cities will ban them from the centre in the future so that will affect residual value. Plus if they go wrong Diesel engines are complicated and more expensive to repair (DPF and EGR valve failures are very common)

Can only say (much as I abhor PCP/PCH "deals" ) that this is not a good "deal" . Whilst a reasonable deal -these are freely available as they have excess stock of the 1.2's . The 1.4 FR is a far better car (in the 150 ps guise ) sadly not much of a discount available on that model (I tried to buy one !) . My advice ,save up and buy what you can afford . These deals are just for the rent everything monthly brigade (car ,phone ,tele, broadband etc etc ) . Never own or cherish anything just have it on contract - No one will admit to it ,but can only end in tears :worried: . Hence the number of gamers on here - rent all the flashy things of modern life , no dosh left for getting out and having a life . Just my opinion - gang up on me yet again , I have broad shoulders  and never take offence (to be fair I never take a blind bit of notice ) -so if it distracts you for a few minutes please feel free to have a go . You have my advice - take it or leave it

We'll leave it mate, as we all do for every post you make on lease/PCH/PCP threads.
Do us all a favour and unsubscribe from lease related threads.

Thanks for noticing - Why should I unsubscribe ? (weird! ) - I don't subscribe to these deals - just notice them when they come on general view ? Why does criticism of these deals upset you (are you in the PCP/PCH business?) Surely we all have a right to our opinions - Or do we not ?

Because as per the Leon Cupra post you demonstrated a clear lack of any understanding or common sense.
Regurgitating the same nonsense ad nauseum doesn't change matters.

I'll bite, for a laugh.
I can afford to buy a car. But if it's cheaper to lease, I'll lease.
I am not keeping a car for more than two years. My choice. I don't want to. I would change at a year if I could.
You only have one shot at this life. I enjoy cars/driving. To buy a new car and sell it two years later will cost you more than leasing, if you pick the correct vehicle/deal, it's not rocket science.
I don't want to buy used, I prefer to have untarnished vehicles and ones that I can spec to my needs.
Good night.

So if you game, you have no life? Jog on son. If you knew anything about the subject you would realise every gamer on this site has very little time to play games due to real life lol buying them for that rainy day. That's why it's called a pile of shame.

What a load of opinionated garbage. There's a big difference between having "broad shoulders" and just choosing to ignore the mass consensus of members on HUKD, 95% of whom clearly think you're talking utter pony trap. It's called flagrant ignorance.
You should keep your eyes peeled for a good lease deal on brain cells, because then you might be able to figure out how people use PCH deals to save thousands of pounds on annual motoring in a new vehicle (that's right some people like driving brand new cars - it's a shocking concept to get your head round) and maintain a fixed budget at the same time with minimal initial financial outlay.
If it's true that all gamers have no lives, then people who spend their life trolling the comments of PCH deals on HUKD must have even less of one.

Why don't you just get a life. Maybe you have never heard of the phrase "If it appreciates, buy it, and if it depreciates lease it". It's a very valid statement, never mind the fact that the maths itself tells you that. I have had leased vehicles for the last 20 odd years, both through my company and then personally.
I know exactly what I'm paying every month, I have never had a garage bill for anything, and have complete and utter peace of mind. (to be fair I do also own a smaller cheaper older car).
That just works for me. Maybe not for everyone but it works for me. Each to their own, so wby doubt you wind your neck in and stop preaching/whingeing/moaning or whatever the hell else you call it, because it really is now getting boring.

What other people do with their money has literally no impact on your life.
Especially so if you claim to have as much in savings as you do.
Have you tried being less of a judgemental prick?

You won't need a car riding around on that high horse of yours.
If anyone wants a link to a good car lease deal thread on another forum, let me know. Car leases in HUKD is so pointless as the constant anti-leasing brigade out in force for every post makes it really tiresome to follow.

Two points:
1. Your numbers are wrong. ((9+23) x £118.67) + £298.80 = £4,096.24 or £170.68/net/mth NOT £4,324.
Thanks, corrected the numbers (must have mixed up with the 10k Seat leasing deal OR am just getting old haha)

This deal passes the deprecation test for me, using the 10,000 mile deal as an example Figures come from Parkers guide who use CAP for depreciation calculations.

Useful comparison. I found new cars from £16k. Leasing is still cheaper for a brand new car & keeping two years. Leasing not so good when you look at buying a 1-2 year old car and hold for 4+ years.
CoeK to afroylnt
11 Sep 17#35
Leasing will never be for people who want to buy a used car and keep it for 4 years.
m5rcc to afroylnt
11 Sep 17#36
The only problem with that comparison is that nobody ever pays list for a car.
This car is available for £12,709:
therefore making the total cost at £3,974 if you had bought. Given this is just another £100, then fine, one can say for peace of mind of not having to go and find a buyer, is to lease it.
MrSweeney to m5rcc
11 Sep 17#37
I'd happily swallow that £100 for the luxury of being able to nonchalantly hand the keys back to the lease company and say "there ya go pal" on to the next one...
Not to mention, being to able to avoid the agonising process of trying to sell privately to swathes of time wasters, crooks or people who have a similar IQ and 1 dimensional view of the world such as Rogparki.
Admittedly, not all private buyers are that bad, I think I've just been unlucky in the past.

Of course, that was my ending point, but stating a OTR price that no-one ever pays to work out the cost of ownership is not the best of methods.

You'd be surprised. I've seen a few threads in here where people are contemplating between two 'deals' they have been offered by a car salesman only to find (after someone of here points it out) they are paying well above the drivethedeal price.

If you hate leases so much, why click on a lease deal? I don't like fish, I don't spend my time around Grimsby as a result.
The sound made by the Krakatoa volcanic eruption in 1883 was so loud it ruptured eardrums of people 40 miles away, travelled around the world four times, and was clearly heard 3,000 miles away. That is like you standing in New York and hearing a sound from San Francisco. It was still quieter than people who are against car leases coming into a car lease thread and trolling.

Strange to go into a lease deal to tell people how you disagree with lease deals once, some on here do it over and over again.
It isn't like people are going to take financial advice from a bunch of nobodies on the internet.
I don't have a vehicle on lease nor have I ever.

Calm down children  I make a few comments once or twice a month about the wisdom of Car Leasing and that's Trolling ! . So the 10 -20 so called deals posted every week are fine , yet to remind folks once or twice a month that these deals aren't affordable for many people is a massive sin ?
Sorry, if you can't take criticism you shouldn't comment . I can take criticism ,I believe these PCP/PCH deals are getting many into financial difficulties , so I say so a few times a month - If you think that amounts to trolling ! you really should grow up :worried: .
