ditto - in fact I had it expire on Sunday when we went in and blew a hundred quid on stuff when we only went in for a bit of bread, and now it's appeared for another month! I get Waitrose too at 5% every so often. I have a credit card and my mrs gets different offers as she only has the current act.

These offers are tailored to the customer so if you shop at morrisons chance is you will never see it, mine only showed after not going for 3 months!

Been trying to figure out the logic - Morrisons last month was the first time for me, Waitrose is a bit karma chameleon on there. No real pattern but welcome as they keep sending me £8 off £40 and combined with PYO there're bargains to be had.

I keep getting Waitrose who don't have a store anyway near us..

I'd love to meet someone who writes these algorithms. WE never get any offers on Halifax, Lloyds or Santander accounts but then we never use the debit cards as we always use cashback debit cards for spending. However I would be quite happy to put through a few low value transactions in Sainsburys or Tesco if we would earn me a 10% cashback at Morrisons.

Pay cash if you shop at morrisons then the offer will shop up within a few weeks.

never had morrisons but always waitrose there which is too expensive anyway to make the 10% off worthwhile

Had never heard of this, been a Santander customer for about 10 years! Just checked, and have both Morrisons and Waitrose. Thanks.

I shop everyday at Morrisons and got the offer?
Not big shop shop, but get some provisions daily as it's next to my work

Do you use your santander card a lot or no?

hardly ever actually, mainly just use it as the 1,2,3 account to keep £20k in there for 1.5% interest.

That's why. It's targeted depending on your card use.

It looks like data is shared though... My main bank account is with Santander, and I use it only for salary and direct debits, I rarely pay with the Santander debit or credit card. I have another bank account with Lloyds, which I rarely use, and which is linked to a Lloyds Avios credit card, my main credit card (I use it for 99% of my payments to collect air miles, I can't remember when was last time I used cash). On both accounts, I get exactly the same cashback offers, with the same T&C, 99% of the times with the same % of cashback. Occasionally I get something extra on Lloyds, occasionaly something different on Santander. e.g. yesterday I found a 10% cashback with Co-op on Lloyds and after few hours it was available also on Santander, although I shopped at Co-op for the first time few weeks ago (just to collect the free £5 with the Paypoint top up of my Amazon account) and never got cashback from them in the past (got twice from Morrisons, where I go only to buy Amazon gift cards and get the cashback, and lots of times with Waitrose, where I shop more often). So if it's true that these offers are based on your card use, then it's likely there's a third party company which provides most of these offers to both banks, which collects personal data, shared on more than one bank account.

I don't know how it works but I assume your spending data is shared anonymously with some kind of marketing company who then bid for your data and assign offers accordingly
