Hi Guys, was looking for a TV and came across this model, it seems good for the price and has 100 reviews on google with a 4.8/5 overall. In order to get it for this price I had to use the code CBT60 which gives you 60 off a spend on tvs above 600.
I paid 3.99 delivery also for my slot but it seemed on the site you could get some for free?
Hope this helps somebody

Does "upscaling High Dynamic Range (HDR)" mean it is not fully HDR?

Absolutely don't get this if you actually care about HDR. This is no HDR TV. HDR content will look very similar to SDR because it doesn't get bright, and does not have a wide enough colour-gamut, also to mention that this is a 8-bit panel without even any dithering.

With Samsung TV's you need to be looking at the Q7 range and above this year, for TV's with a 10 bit panel and 'proper' HDR.

Been looking at getting a new TV but not very knowledgeable so this helps, thanks! I have been advised to be careful about what is advertised as HDR as they try to trick you with the wording when it is not 'proper' HDR.

When I look for TV's, I ignore the HDR wording completely. Having a 10bit screen is the most important part. That allows the TV to display enough colours to properly show HDR, so any TV that has a 10bit panel will pretty certain to have decent HDR. The other factor is brightness, but again, I don't know of any 10bit TV's which aren't bright enough for proper HDR.
Finding out if a TV has a 10bit panel can be a little tricky, some manufacturer's try to hide that information because it is so telling.
You're right to be wary of the wording, a lot of TV's have the chip in them that will process the HDR signal, but don't have a good enough panel to display it's output.
If you want a foolproof way of looking, it's very unlikely any TV that doesn't have the UltraHD Premium badge will have a 10bit screen. Sony might be the only exception, because they don't use the standard.
Probably next month and beyond is when TV's are going to be at their best price this year, if they follow the same trend as last year. So if you can hold off for a month or so, it will probably pay off.

Thanks, I am also looking for a new TV and found your comment very helpful. No rush also so will hold out a month or so and purchase a better tv (only 10bit panel) ha

I don't think we'll be that lucky. Best price for that spec last year was about £899. You might get a 49" on a very good day for that budget.

No man.. it's all about timing.. got the xe7000 Sony Bravia last year during Boxing Day for 649!

I'm pleased for you, but I don't do bravias any more. After the last two died early and Sony neutered their smart functions within six months of purchasing.
