Normally £34.99 down to £27.99 until 28th September.
Yes it can be had for about £35 physically from Coolshop at the minute (had a quick look and didn't see it cheaper and in stock elsewhere).
There is a demo on the eShop for anyone who hasn't tried it.
Blurb from Nintendo site: Two puzzle game juggernauts collide as Tetris®, one of the largest-selling and recognised brands in gaming history, and Puyo Puyo™ from SEGA have combined to create a fun-to-play, fast-paced, competitive party game like no other! The game has tons of different styles of gameplay – from the single-player Adventure and Challenge modes to the ferocious competition of the up-to-four-player Arcade modes. There’s plenty of Tetris/Puyo variety, and an in-game Shop where players can unlock new characters, new skins for Puyos and Tetriminos, new backgrounds and more. You can even try your puzzle skills on a global scale by playing any of the multiplayer modes with up to four players online, in Puzzle League or Free Play modes.

I know you are being sarcastic but it does actually, with a well thought out if completely bonkers lengthy single player story mode and lots of different game types plus multiplayer but I get crushed playing online.
It is a lot more than just a tetris game.

£28 for Tetris in 2017 and yet some people have voted it 'hot'. :astonished:

Technically, it's a deal. The normal price is £35 and this is £27.99, ergo it's a deal. It may well have been ridiculously overpriced to start with, but if that's the going rate and this is cheaper it's a deal.
Personally, I wouldn't pay the lower price anyway

Something can be cheaper than normal and still be too expensive. This is a deal, a bad one.

I imported the Vita version a few years back and it is a fantastic game.

Lol you don't need some fancy music, cutscenes, mo-cap, VA, great 3d graphics in this game. Its bare game and shouldn't cost as high

I was a massive fan of the original Tetris on the GameBoy and for me this is the best Tetris since then. This is very different and that is no bad thing, if you want a basic Tetris game those exist and are inexpensive but always felt inferior to the original. This tries to do something very different and it works very well. Have you even played the free demo?

For the us store, none of my cards worked so I ended up buying from the SA store for ~23

Why even come on here and have an argument about whether something is a deal or not... if you want to buy this particular game you want to get it for the best possible price. It's subjective and down to the buyer. Cheers Op. heat added.
