Argos are offering the PS4 Pro for only £199 when bought with the 43" & 49" XE80 Sony TV models, offer seems a little hidden, not sure if its a mistake? Also seem to have some great prices on the XE70 models, 55" is £649 which seems to be a genuinely big saving compared to others.

Anyone else confused why they're selling a 50Hz panel with a PS4 Pro that's meant to output at 60fps. Otherwise a good tv and great deal but I think losing 10fps is a big deal

Obviously a mistake it can do 50/60hz. Xe80 are quite good as well. Lots of value awards.

So many PS4 Pro deals coming out a the minute - so tempting but holding out for Black Friday! Still Hot!

£200 ontop of the price of the TV?
Where's the deal here? It would probably be an average deal if you got the PS4 free with the TV!

I think I've managed to talk myself out of this now. Can anyone recommend a good 43" HDR tv? 96cm in width is the biggest I can go. The best tech seems to be 50" + though.

After much deliberation I think if you don't need the PS4, there'll possibly be better deals coming up especially with Black Friday and Christmas. For example, John Lewis have the "better" version of this TV (the KD49XE8005BU with 200Hz etc, this is the KD49XE8004BU) for £779 and include their 5 year guarantee, which is only £80 or so more than going through the hassle of getting this deal and selling the PS4 for what, probably around £300ish making the overall price £698 - but you only have 1 year warranty.
However, if you do want the PS4 then this is still pretty good!

You'd get the same manufacturer warranty. You'd just have to go straight to Sony

No, you don't apparently. Only if the retailer participates in the "offer" (which seems to perpetually exist) with Sony.

Sony tv warranty is usually 5 years

Anyone know how to confirm? Googling got me nowhere :persevere: Argos don't advertise their warranties like John Lewis and AO do
hollger to CaiGuy

It completely depends on the retailer. There's a question on the Argos website that's been replied to by an Argos rep that states 1 year.

No need, they'll just charge you the full price of the PS4 and take the difference from the refund.

Normally it works like(on amazon) For example the TV is £750 and the pro £200(normally £350), they will refund £500 for the TV

Been debating wether to get this but not sure if a better deal will come black friday. I mean ive got a 10% off code that will make it £900 then sell my ps4 to Cex for £113 which will bring it to £787, free ps4pro effectively. 12 month payment plan £65pm to go 4k. But will a better deal come along hmmm.

The panel of the TV has a 50hz refresh rate (100hz motionflow) - so in reality its not as good as a native 60hz TV for FPS gaming

Shame the xe70 isn't part of the pro deal, that would've been a no brainer for me.
The next 2 things on my shopping list. Had my eye on the 43" for a while now. But then do I hang on for another year and see what those models do? I've heard that 43" might be phased out but I can't go any bigger due to the space I've got. Also the tv is dropping in price all the time. Thanks op.

The new 10.5G production lines are efficient at 43" (as well as 65" and 75") so I suspect it'll be around for some time to come. Although of course they can always drop the quality if people aren't prepared to pay big money for a small screen.
If you've got a big budget (~£1000) it might be worth waiting another year to see if we get a decent HDR TV at 43".
A year should be safe enough unless you specifically want Sony, it would be odd if all manufacturers at once dropped TVs at this level of quality

So if you sell the ps4 for £300 and use the Argos 10% code (from the Xbox mistake) you can get this TV for £600. Heat!
*Edit* Mine got delivered 2 hours after placing the order. Already have a buyer for the ps4 @£300 and got 10% off due to the Xbox mistake so this was an absolute steal for me. Thanks OP!
