Worth a repost surely The luxury, king-size Premier Inn bed has over 1,000 pocket springs, providing individual, contoured support throughout the mattress – wherever and whenever it’s needed – for that “floating on a cloud” feeling. The mattress is enhanced with a super-comfortable, thick wool mattress topper, creating a luxurious, extra-cosy layer. It also helps to regulate body temperature for a truly serene sleep. The hypoallergenic mattress fabric means that allergy sufferers can enjoy a great night’s rest too.The Premier Inn beds are available in single (90x190cm), double (135x190cm), king size (150x200cm) and super king (180x200cm). The bed is made up of a luxury Hypnos mattress, with integral soft topper, plus a taupe divan base. The divan varies slightly from that found in a Premier Inn room in terms of colour, height and style to ensure we provide a divan in a neutral colour (see image to the right), with the option of incorporating storage drawers. All divans, beside the single divan, are made up of two pieces.

Has anyone tried the Simba mattress?
wandaluzt to mumba

Yes I've got a double one. Nearing the end of the 100 day trial and mulling sending it back. Mainly because you get roll together but also because it's not as soft as I'd hoped it would be. On the plus side aches and pains I had from my old mattress have gone now. If you're in the market for a new mattress it's worth a try with the trial. They apparently just need an email and will come and pick it up no quibble. I think if you get referred you get 50 quid off and the person who refers you get something too naturally.

Be careful with those heavily advertised foam mattresses, they're backed by big investment firms who pump the money into advertising (the product quality is in a distinct second in their priorities).
There are attempts to address the big flaws of foam mattresses but they still suffer from them to a degree: poor bounceback (makes a difference for bouncing related activities) and they're bad for anyone who gets too hot in bed.
lumsdot to abigsmurf

Yes, the marketing dept make up names like coolmax, but they cannot stop a big lump of foam from getting hot. Maybe coolmax reduces the temp by 0.5 of a degree. It's like Duracell batteries running ten times longer than a totally old type of zinc carbon battery, dodgy marketing liars

You need to buy the divan with this otherwise it will be too hard.
It has springs on the base unit, which makes the whole thing feel completely different.

I used to sell and deliver Hypnos mattresses and beds, they are worth the money, i have even delivered them to A list stars ( u didn't need to know that but I thought I'd put it in).

Double 2 draws divan + mattress is listed as £870. I am unsure if that includes delivery. That is probably about normal entry Hypnos prices. Well if you buy online. If in store you'd be looking at an extra £500 on the £870.
These beds are quite high at 63cm. The good thing I guess is you can try these beds for an extended period.
I recently got the Hypnos hideaway divan and I didn't put the castors on which shaved 5cm off and makes it perfect height. I have the Ortho firm wool which is a mostly polyester and wool filled mattress. I tried it in store as a divan mattress combination and was very firm at first on delivery but eased a bit. I did like the Premier inn mattress but not keen on the no turn pillow top.
If I had the money I would have gone for a Vispring. People sell used ones for more than my new mattress price !

I'm not sure why this is a deal - they've been selling these for years at the same prices.
I got a king size one around a year and a half ago. It's pretty firm, maybe a little too firm, most will probably need a topper.

just got rid of my hypnos super king size mattress after 3 years, it was a complete pig to get upstairs as there was barely any flex in it to get it round the bannister and even turning it every 3 months took a lot of effort as it weighed a ton and is built like a challenger tank. Probably the most well made mattress we have owned but it was like sleeping on a paving slab. If you've got a bad back then it will probably suit but if you are used to memory foam then try one first. My partner never liked it to its firmness and to be honest after spending around £700 I was loathe to get rid of it after just three years but since ditching it for something softer I'm sleeping better for sure.

I was always like why spend a lot of money on a mattress? Until someone pointed out that you spend a third of your life in them ie 8 hours a day, or over 33 years assuming you live to 100.
I'll go back to sleep now

You spend up to a third of your life in bed so money spent on a good mattress is money well spent. Can't vouch for this particular one and I'm sure premier in don't pay £525 each for their mattresses

This is a pillow top mattress. Not recommended because they are much more likely to sag within 3 years than a normal mattress is. Also they need to be rotated much more often than a normal mattress. Edge support is lacking too. On the plus side, they conform better to the shape of the body.
I would personally avoid pillowtop mattresses due to durability problems. It is more suited to a hotel as a hotel would need to replace their mattresses more often than you would at home for other reasons. So low durability of this mattress is not an issue for a hotel.

Bought a Super King from Ikea few years back but has proved to be a bit disappointing. Tempted to buy this one but don't know how good it would be compared to my Ikea one as I've never slept on a Hypnos mattress.

Just be aware that if you order it without the sprung divan base, it will be nowhere near as comfy as the ones in Premier Inn! I made the same mistake and put it on a slatted base, it was a lot firmer.

Hypnos make great quality mattresses.
I'm always a bit wary about a mattress that not only can't be flipped, it's not even designed for turning. It'll be comfy but I'm not sure it'd last the ~10 years you'd hope for from a quality mattress so that's a hidden cost to factor in.

Fair point - We purchased a similar one from Sealy that can't be flipped. That said, we've had it for over 8yrs and it's the pretty much the same as when we first bought it, no sign of giving in just yet

I view it that they don't need to be turned or flipped because they are better quality, and just don't need to be.
I can't speak for long term as I don't have one, but I have slept on these mattresses and would certainly look at buying one if I needed one.
Mattresses are a personal thing, but I find these extremely comfortable.

As in I don't have a Hypnos so can't vouch for them long term.
My current mattress is only 5 years old, and was my first expensive mattress. I sleep well, so I think it is worth it.
It was much dearer than a Hypnos.
When I buy again, the first one I look at will be Hypnos.

I had a hard time finding a mattress that felt comfortable for me but I would highly recommend John Ryan. Just tell them your weight and how soft or firm you want it and they will recommend a suitable one from their range. Very happy with ours. All the ones I tried before were too firm.
