At only £129.99 this is the perfect UHD blu ray player for anyone that doesn't need WiFi.
The UB390 is the Currys exclusive version of the UB300 and normally retails for £250 new.
All the Panasonic UHD Blu ray players (ub300/390/400/700/900) use the same processing unit and thus have identical picture quality.
The Achilles heel of the standard UB300 (and the Xbox one s for that matter) is that it doesn't have dual hdmi outputs.
The UB390 does have twin hdmi outputs and thus enables you to send the audio separately via HDMI to a receiver/sound bar that doesn't have 4k passthrough capability (as many don't)
The only thing it lacks is WiFi but most people use the streaming function on their 4K TV anyway, particularly as the streaming apps and interface on even the pricey Panasonic players are pretty rudimentary (the apps themselves dont support 24p playback and the interface resides from graphic design somewhere prior to the early phases of the industrial revolution). Review of the step-down UB300 can be found here avforums.com/rev…700
The Panasonic eBay store has an excellent reputation for sorting out any returns etc if there is any problem.

Now OOS.
The Panasonic store often gets replenished fairly regularly though.
