I believe these are also Eneloop type batteries, I have some of these and they do hold their charge: 7dayshop.com/pro…0x2 Higher capacity, slightly cheaper and made in Japan too!

Panasonic can be recharged 2100 times, Fujitsu only 500 times.

The Fujitsu are higher capacity. Made in the same factory as eneloops.

If you don't need anything quite so high-end for your AAAs, I'd suggest buying 2 packs of 4 AAAs on their ebay shop for £4.78 (8 batteries in total). They are £2.89 per pack, with £1 off for buying two packs.

These are very good. But I have been buying Amazon basic batteries recently. You get 12 for the price of 8 here (with subscription/prime) or a couple quid less for 8. There is no real performance or longevity difference, the amazon ones are made in Japan same as the best eneloop cells (some are made in China, but are slightly inferior apparently)

I think the 7dayshop ones are usually a bit shy of their advertised capacity. I don't know how the AAA would be after a few cycles either, someone needs to test them. In my experience the 2900mah AA ones are some ways short of that capacity but at least on par with the eneloop pro ~2500mah. A few of the ones I had of those weren't so good after a dozen cycles though whereas the eneloops held up, and the amazon ones have so far.
In this AAA size it's much of a muchness and I am sure they are a good deal for what most people likely use AAA sizes for. In my case it's just remote controls and a few clocks etc so really, those cheapo 7dayshop ones will be more than good enough

I bought some 7dayshop own label batteries a few years ago and was very disappointed with the life I gout out of them. One started to leak after about 6 months so on that basis I'll be sticking with Eneloop. I didn't go back to 7dayshop so maybe I should have done as I have found them to be excellent in all other aspects. These were Nicads though so maybe the 7dayshop NiMh fare better. I'll let others be the guinea pigs!

Which? recommended 7dayshop's Good to Go AA NiMH batteries a couple of years back (the same green and white packaging). I've found their Good to Go AA and AAA batteries work well, with no problems.

Yeah brilly makes a good point. And AAA actually is common for good quality torch use.
I have a thrunite that uses a 18650 lithium ion cell - but also a thrunite keychain torch - which uses a AAA
Eneloops are ideal for that. Far less likely to leak than Alkaline batteries, and better for the environment.
Lithum ion cells can't be used in it due to the voltage.
Olight also make a popular AAA keychain light.
So at the high end, AAA is actually commonly used (for keychain torches), surprisingly.
