Bought one of these a few months ago. It didn't have a shut off when a device reached 100% charge so it drained itself.

Eh? Most don't do that anyway afaik. They shut off when there's less than a tiny amount of current draw detected, so for a phone that's on at 100% the battery pack will keep providing power and the phone will keep running off that power rather than using its own battery.

When a device is turned off though it did it. Yeah I can understand if a phone was on a d was being charged.

That's most likely an issue with your device, not the charger itself. Batteries are designed to draw in power from the source, not the other way round. In other words, it's your device's battery that controls how much power it takes in to charge itself, so when it reaches 100%, it should refuse to take in any more charge. Once fully charged, the phone will run off the power supplied directly from the charger, so if your charger has drained itself so much, it means that your device is using a lot of power (e.g. a phone running a lot of power-hungry background tasks).
The charger can only be at fault either if it was oversupplying power (in which case, you'd notice your phone battery getting quite hot) or if the charger's own battery capacity has started to degrade because of it reaching a high number of charge cycles.

I think they were about £7 if I remember correctly, and then they gradually increased the price?

They were a bit chunkier weren't they? Used one for ages that I got for £7, only stopped using it recently as I got a QC one that is slimmer but tempted by this. Dunno why, I must have at least 6 power banks now!

I have this, bought from tomtop for a slightly cheaper price (only a few pennies).
If you fly to one of the six countries like myself, this one is small enough to take in hand-luggage.
Charging is quite quick. In fact, I found it faster than the wall charger for my Oneplus 2 phone.
Highly recommended.

Don't come with cable you need to use your own I think. And you can you any like iPhone, micro USB or USB C

This one charges off microUSB and provides a USB type A port for charging other devices. You might be thinking of the Pro model that charges off USB-C (and still just provides a USB type A port, bit pointless).

I bought one of these at I'd be luck of there was 2000mAh in it. I got it on ebay so I have a feeling its a mock up rather than a dud. But it's impossible to tell with the quality of the finish.

Cheaper options out there for 10kmAh, the trouble with the ones around this price are their capacity is probably much less than stated. I'd order from an easier website like Amazon for when you inevitably need to return it

10kmAh gave me a chuckle, Ah is the unit, we're milli that, k would cancel out to leave Ah again. Same way we don't say 1kml, it's just one litre.

Looks like it provides fast charge and fast charges itself (hate waiting all night to charge powerbanks)
