A friend asked me today if I thought many people would be online when FIFA launched on the Switch. I laughed, he laughed, the toaster laughed. He kicked a ball at the toaster. Good times!

Not bad at all. If you can get the very deal with 20% off it is still the best deal out there in my opinion.

It's the one i bought with Mario Kart for my Son's birthday next wednesday. Had a sneaky test drive and i like it. looking forward to a bit of platoon 2 with them both
Arghhhh tempted. From what I've read, Pro controller is the way to go - il almost never take it out the dock, only want Zelda and Mario Odyssey so is this plus the best price pro pad (£55?) a good deal?

Don't buy your hardware from Game crazy kids. You'll regret it if a fault arises...

they don't do returns?

They will try their very hardest to get out of allowing you to return items in my experience. The fault will need to be easy to demonstrate, and they will need to phone up a call centre for authorisation. That process could mean that you are standing in the shop waiting for them to get authorisation for anything between 10 minutes and half an hour. There doesn't seem to be any way of contacting a human in their head office to complain either.
They are a bad company for customer service. Personally for games hardware, I'd go with Amazon, Argos, Tesco, Sainsburys. At least you have a decent chance of returning stuff reasonably quickly if it goes wrong.

Damn, I had a similar experience with Argos. No wonder the high street is dying

Really? I've only hd good return experiences with Argos.

Only in terms of being quizzed about a return, they still gave me a full refund post-interegation, so I can't complain too much. This is still the best deal for a Switch so I'm tempted, but I've had 2 Switch consoles already and have had problems so I'm a bit scared to buy from Game now..

Yeah, I'm on my 3rd switch too. Like I said, you'd have to be able to demonstrate a fault for game to give you a refund. My first switch had the left joycon disconnection issue and my second switch had a noisy/clicky fan when it kicked in. So with both of those issues, I may have struggled to demonstrate them easily in the shop. The left joycon thing was intermittent, and the fan only kicked in when the system was on for at least an hour and was dealing with complicated graphics...eg Zelda.
I won't be using game again for hardware as they make things difficult refund wise.
