It hasn't been free on games with gold yet. This is a pretty good price and it's also getting a Xbox one X patch so £12.99 is a bargain imo.

Got this from CEX the other weeks, after seeing the One X comparison video's, so far it's been the best example to highlight the advantage of the new console over the base Xbox One.
