Good spot but just buy the xl 2ds and a game. Even Nintendo recognised the issue of a 3d games console that causes head aches

Been playing with 3ds in full 3d since its release in 2011 and never once had a headache. 2ds was made for primarily for children as the American medical board suggests 3d is not good for children's eyes.

They added face tracking in "New" 3DS so you don’t have to hold it at exact spot to see 3D effect.

"New" 3ds has eye tracking. 3d is not for everyone, personally I love it and will be a bit upset when it comes to buying a new tv as they seem to have done away with it.

I liked it on a tv, but played at a mates and pretty sure his surround was out of sync cause played zombies and the bullet sound came second after trigger press, annoyed me! Never got to watch a movie with it though!! Ive still got a 7 year old tv cause never seen a deal with smart 3d 4k oled :joy:

Same here, best handheld ever for me, always have 3D on. Could never understand why people bought 3 or 4 3DS's......... I just bought two for spare lol. Guess they will become a bit rare soon, my excuse :-)

I would personally , but I never quite got the special design console (I do love the different coulor buttons but that's it) and there do seem to be quite a few people who like 3D but I have never know one .

The 3D adds very little IMO. I've owned both an original 3DS and currently a N3DS and have spent 99% of my time with them with it turned off. Some games also run quite a bit better with it disabled, since it frees up resources for them to use. Others display outright better graphics with 3D off, with added effects or anti-aliasing. For example, Ocarina of Time gains AA with 3D turned off, whilst Dead or Alive: Dimensions ups the framerate to 60fps (versus 30fps with 3D on).

I have snes version pre ordered currently i dispute of canceling to order this or the 2ds xl to save money. First time buying any Nintendo product since a gameboy lol any help or recommendations?

The 2ds is likely to be worth not very much, the snes edition should hold or possibly increase in value depending on how limited it is.

I used to have a 3DS, sold it as I wasn't using it. Has anything been released since around Majora's Mask time that's worth grabbing? I think I played all the major releases before, but these deals keep tempting me back...

Ive never been into special design, always gone for black, or purple for Gamecube but loved the Snes and just looks great on the DS, got until release to decide, prefer the XL for sure

So, is the only difference between this and the 2ds xl the 3d feature?
