I'm in no way an audiophile, I buy a set of cans (correct, right?) and just put them on my head. I have a plane journey in a couple of weeks, flights absolutely petrify me so I'm going to pick up a pair of these for the 2DS. Drowning out the sound and all that.
I've had a quick look on Amazon where the reviews don't look too bad..
Forgive me if they're a bit crap, I thought it was a decent price for some throwaway headphones

Does anybody know. What's the thing with 3.5 to 2.5mm adapters for headphones - any issues to sound quality, or more importantly sound loss?

Welcome to public services - yet teachers want a pay rise and 16 year olds after 11 years in education can't spell or even be taught what spell check is.
Heat OP!

No, I've seen it with my own eyes. The local authority standards are appalling, as is how they deal with education complaints - trying to talk down 'expectations' when trying to lodge a official (recorded) complaint, no standards all round, overpaid self protectionist LA department rather than focusing on the child needs.
How about a daughter who has had to move back to her mothers to care for the children in her care whilst the mother battles cancer and the local authority won't pay for transport for the daughters autistic son to get to his specialist school nor fund the local primary school. Exceptional circumstances but the LA education dept won't budge on anything, all to keep three out of the care system the new school is willing to do it but thier head office (Education) won't give funding they would rather pass the buck to Social Work dept with three kids in care so the mother can go live with the daughter and her two kids whilst going through cancer treatment.
Its hardly any wonder kids leave school unable to spell when the head office doesn't mind advertising inequality to its school staff. It's a problem nationwide.
Time a national education was set up, LA and standards have always been appalling and in the advanced technology age we live in there is no need of fragmented Housing and Education run by LA who all choose at another board level what legal interpretation of legislation they will apply to services or individual cases. Broken Britain.
I find it further appalling that you defend and find it acceptable ANY child leaving 11 years of education unable to spell.

You came across like you were just stereotyping all teachers as not good at teaching kids though, as if you believe they're not entitled to a pay rise...

Well if the most vulnerable disabled on ESA who are dependent on most various public services/administration can't get a pay rise why should public servants? that's equality, that's fairness.
As for the other most vulnerable group - kids - they should have national systems of education & care beyond excellent, that does not come from pay rises, it comes from national standards not local authorities, NHS (national in name) or other local bodies, frankly if a parent has for example dependency issues with substance abuse a child should be able to enforce NHS rehab on that parent and be supported by a universal education & social work department as a boarding student on site at school until that parent/guardian is released home.
Money needs spent at the right places, if either party actually reformed social work as 'everything' instead of a fragmented 1950s system there would be billions spare - that doesn't mean public servants should share that out equally it means you keep investing and reforming the system.
Frankly I would give public servants free council housing (and thus no council tax) and relieve pressure$ on every other body - it's called early (and cheaper) intervention, if you have eyes on the ground it's proactive not expensively reactive.
Performance related pay for teachers, I'm all for it, across the board no, the bad ones need rooted out by a national body rather than a local authority too scared to act incase of being sued by either party or pretending everything's great - one child with no neurological or mental health condition who leaves 11 years education unable to spell is one child to much. Fact.
