You can use the money you save to buy some decent in game weapons, which you would have to grind for if you don't purchase loot boxes :joy:

No, please tell me this isn't another game ruined by microtransactions? The first game was so good!

Please say you're being satirical ass opposed to condoning loot boxes.
This is the first game with loot boxes where I've been annoyed. The whole idea you pay to gain better in game loot irks me

Slightly, crates/boxes work in Free to play titles but should not be an integral part of a single player experience in my opinion.
I do not like loot crates in paid games much, it creates issues in almost every game it is implemented in.
CoD - I have never used some weapons I wanted to as they were locked behind a crate system.
PUBG - Created a system of afk bots farming for BP, taking some fun from the game.
CSGO - created trading websites that litigation was pursued after advertising standards were broken by certain youtubers.
In free to play games those who buy crates are paying for free users to play, in all other paid games the crates are purely there to squeeze more money, often from young players not used to basic gambling tactics. Shameful in my opinion!

We will have to wait and see if it's actually ruined by them.
This game features crates to gain weapons, XP boosts, abilities etc in single player. These crates are created to be bought with real world money - via an in game currency.
Could still be good, but I am wary.

Spot on..... I am still concerned. So much in fact that I've cancelled my pre order. I will await reviews and potentially wait for this to drop. Won't support microtransactions personally. Added heat though, aside from the microtransactions and how part of the game is set up, loved the original and it's a good price.

I'm waiting to see how bad the grind really is, no chance that I'm pre-ordering or buying day one with them pulling that stunt.

Grind and win or pay more and win, no thanks and that's another good IP down the pan.
