I posted a deal a couple of days ago for the 215/50/17 version of these tyres at £81 per tyre, and this seems like just as good or better for the 225/45/17 version. £61.78 per tyre delivered ( using the £3 off discount code: TYRE17 ). These are around £100+ in many places.

Unbelievable price, many thanks OP. Less than £250 for four branded tryres, used to paying around £500.

Not only branded - but generally considered the best all weather/season tyres you can get.

I have run two sets of Continental winter tyres since 2011 (in the winter) got caught in the savage winter of 2010 in Scotland. So will see how these compare this winter.

How much does it cost to get them fitted?

Depends - a local garage charges £10 per tyre (which is not unreasonable). However Ford said that as we get our servicing done there, they would swap over tyres for £10 in total.

Now you raise an excellent point there. I'm still tempted to get them but I promised myself I was going to only get an A rated rain tyres next swap after having toyo t1r's let go unpredictably/ non progressively several times under controlled circumstances in the wet. They are also B in wet I believe. They aren't a patch on the Toyo proxes of old in the wet either :disappointed: Im of the opinion that most of the time a good wet weather tyre suits UK conditions more often than not! But a great price for a great tyre. I'm having trouble deciding! Voted hot anyway!

You being serious? I have some highly rated Hankook evolved ones which are C rated and Continental winter ones which are C also, but E on many cars with a slightly different wall size. B is a fantastic rating for Winter tyres.

Probably best not to mix this type of tyre with another type. Suggest that you check with Michelin.
Don't bother asking a garage as they know bugger all about tyre technology. My main dealer once swapped new tyres with full tread from rear to front as "they were the driven wheels". Michelin say that where only two new tyres are fitted, they should ALWAYS be fitted to the rear axle.
