depending on your use case, might be woth paying the extra £20-£30 for the tab 3 plus for the full HD screen, but slightly weaker processor. if you'll mainly be watching media, the better screen would be worthwhile.

Why Lenovo... I hate that they bring out products that are inferior to their previous generation.
The Tab 2 was more powerful and had a better screen than the Tab 3, The Yoga 2 was vastly better than the Yoga 3, and now the Tab 4 is actually still as bad as the Tab 3.
Just seems like a complete pointless venture to have new products that can't surpass the older ones. Good deal either way OP. Heat added

It suprises me too, I have the tab2 and looking to upgrade I have been very happy with it but skipped the tab3 because of screen, waited for the tab4 but will skip this too because of screen, I mean seriously how much more would it have cost to put a better screen in, I would have happily paid another £20 on top of this price for the Better screen. Well done Lenovo you've lost another customer as I'm not holding my breath for a better screen on the tab5, I will look elsewhere.

I do admit the Tab 4 Plus is a better upgrade, with 3GB of RAM, a full HD IPS screen and an Octa-core processor at 2.0ghz, however, it is double the price I paid for my Tab 2, almost 2 years ago now at £300 it's not exactly a budget tablet like the Tab 2 was. But hey ho. It's something to consider but for now my Tab 2 is serving me faithfully.
16gb is not generous storage capacity. e.g. BBC iplayer downloads to internal memory only, 32Gb would be the minimum for me

It has a microSD port to expand storage up to 128GB.

Micro SD card is not a substitute for On-Board memory re BBC iplayer as mentioned above!!

It'll have Adoptable Storage, being Android 7.0, so you can make your SD card 'part of' the internal storage.

NOT everything 'plays ball' when it comes to using External Storage as Internal Storage and the like ...
An excellent example of that would be that of Whats App!.
Whats App refuses to not only install itself to anything other than internal Storage, but beyond itself, it also refuses to allow any/all your Whats App 'stuffs' (videos, pictures, voice notes, whatever?), alllll to Internal Storage ONLY!.
Ok, given, those 'stuffs' can begrudgingly/annoyingly be moved to your External Storage after, true! (but the Whats App App itself?, sadly, can NOT ... )

There are better lenovo tab 4 models coming out soon. Not in the UK yet. I'm waiting for the Lenovo Tab 4 plus 10 LTE that's has 4GB ram and 64GB hd. The one above is just their budget version.

How? How does iPlayer know that your Adoptable Storage is an SD card and not the internal memory?
The whole point of Android Adoptable Storage is that the SD card becomes locked to the device, and it's space it indistinguishable from the devices Internal Memory.

I do not know. My Lenovo is on Android 6 which was the first Android to use adaptive storage i.e. treating Sd card as internal
Even when the SD card is formatted for internal storage when mounted it will not work for BBCiplayer downloads

That's because BBC iPlayer, is on a whole different level of 'animal'!, lol.
They have adaptive technologies to mask past VPN's when your rocking say your BBC iPlayer EastEnders Episode, in Europe for example?, or even in the U.S.?.
Formally alllllll such things were good to go!.
But sadly, not anymore ...
I wouldn't half like to become a bit familiar with some of BBC's Code Programming Team? (sorry, because, annoying as what they're actually doing is, hehehe, it is kinda rather impressive still?), lol.
But yeh, that's the reason's as to why BBC's iPlayer 'stuffs' doesn't perform in some of the same ways as it perhaps formally did?, or whatever ...
