For £15 I am not expecting perfect HD ! But it will do a perfect job set at 640 . But best getting a 32GB micro SD . The bonus is it no GPS which records your speed !

640? It will be like watching an old green screen Gameboy from the 90s.

640 isn't far off 720p so it's not bad ! Like watching a Tv from 2002 ! Still a good picture.

I bought one of these, they're absolutely rubbish

These are absolute crap and any footage blown up to TV size will look very blurred with a lot of motion blur.
Now you have to ask this question when buying a dash cam: If I - or someone that is travelling with me - is in a crash that could potentially cost 1000s of pounds do I want the best footage that can prove my innocence? Or some cheap crap that you can barely tell what has happened? If It's the former of the options then find a camera that records footage as .MOV files because this file type requires a faster APU than something that records in very low quality .AVI. You can buy dash cams that record as .MOV for around £30 - £40 and although they are twice the price of this cam It's worth it if you have a crash.

Looking for one built into a rear-view mirror, that can also be used with a rear parking camera, can anyone point me in the right direction for well priced decent one?
