Will give it a go. Big fan of strongbow dark fruit. Tried aldis version (taurus) and couldn't finish one can, it was awful aftertaste.

I find lidl is generally of higher quality than aldi.

£2.79 for just over 3 pints compared to £10+ in your local.
No brainer really if you stopping in!

Fake brand rubbish trying to palm off as a real brand. How people are fooled with this Lidl rubbish is beyond me. Just slap some "brand like" packaging on some budget rubbish and people thin they've got a bargain!

It's odd everyone raves about the fake Lidl brands but when Tesco did the same they get slated. The can is obviously designed to deceive people into thinking they are getting something more premium hen they actually are. If it was dressed up in a Tesco Value can would everyone be going on about it?/

4 cans for under £3 i don't think that is deceiving anybody, as for premium hens I was unaware Lidl had brancjed outinto livestock.

I mean, it's not like strongbow is exactly a top tier cider maker. I personally think this is great but each to their own, I guess.
Our local Lidl sells a cider called "woodgate" or something similar (it may have been renamed). That stuff is really tasty - just sweet enough but not so bad you can physically feel it eroding your teeth like some of the more "chemicaly" cider. Think its made by Westons, if I remember correctly....

Have you actually tried it?. My son said the Aldi one was disgusting, I liked it more than the strongbow, knowing he was a brand snob I gave him some in a glass and he drank it with no comments and couldn't believe it was Aldi, he now drinks it all the time when his mates aren't around for pre's.

Actually I find that lidl products often far exceed the quality of supermarket branded crap. Just compare ingredients next time and you'll see - not to mention superior taste. Look at the lidl tomato soup vs heinz for example - more tomatoes used in lidl stuff and it tastes more like a home made tomato soup with pieces in it.
Ill just sit back and watch all the mugs spending over the odds for "branded" products.
