No, these are HSS bits, you will need masonry bits and a hammer action drill (the SDS type are best).

These will not be top quality at this price, but they probably will be perfectly good items for domestic or very light commercial use, as are most tools from this vendor.
This appears to be just the regular price for an item from the Screwfix catalogue, so why does the OP think it is a hot deal, and why have subscribers voted it to 217 degrees? I have no idea; sometimes HUKD is hard to understand.

Because its a clearance item at this price. Plus show me where you can get similar boxed set elsewhere at this price. No didn't think so. :kissing_heart:

I bought 3 of these about a month ago when they were last on here for £6.99 but for 25 bits. Terrible quality I snapped a 3.5 in about 10 seconds on site. Got back to work n asked the 2 other guys how they had got on with there's n they had snapped a couple too ! We use drills n bits everyday so not novices. Wish I took them straight back as we noticed chips out of the larger bits. If u buy these my advice would be throw the bits away n keep the box and fill them with some proper drill bits.

Now that was a useful comment: first hand knowledge is always best.
It is beyond my understanding that subscribers to these pages have voted this item hot with no knowledge of it. It is not a hot deal in that this is the regular price set of drill bits, and as you have told us the quality is very poor. Sometimes it is hard to follow HUKD.

But the regular price is pretty good so this is a deal.

I disagree. The regular prices for many items in the Screwfix catalogue are pretty good, but that would be no reason at all to advertise them line by line here. In this case the OP had no knowledge of whether the item was any good (it turns out it was rubbish - as deputydog 7 tells us from his first hand experience), the OP was just after some cheap heat from this site (as if that has any value).
HUKD does contain the odd (but very rare) nugget, but unfortunately one has to sift through the great mass of tat (like this post) to find worthwhile things. I quite like the self-help aspect of HUKD (information and discussion) which make it more worthwhile.

Typical inane troll commenting. How's it cheap heat. Its in the clearance section. Im not saying it's for pro use around the house fine yes i have this set and its working fine for me. Its probably rubbish for you because your a novice time you got a life too.

Thanks OP for posting, I bought several of these when they were s higher price, not seen them this cheap and as another poster said it is worth it for the box. At one time I was going to buy one of those expensive drill sets sold on a shopping channel where he drills through brake disks an anvil, concrete brick. etc all with the same drill.
But then I looked at the reviews and they were terrible. Instead I bought individual bits when they cone up up on offer st screwfix. Bosch sets are also pretty good. However I also have poundsop sets. You know they are not going to last so 19 drill bits at £3.49, it does not matter if some break. These would make ideal add-on Xmas presents, they are not for serous every day users. Having said all that I would be interested to know if anyone can recommend a set that really can go trough lintels, , anvils, brake disc, concrete, wood, etc and not fake like those ones appear to be on that shopping channel?

That is very rude again: it is certainly not reasonable to accuse someone of being a racist because they have a German car avatar. I have reported your rudeness.

You started it I reported you long ago. Grow a braincell just shows why you haven't posted a deal in ages too. Just resorted to trolling instead.

The fact that English is not your first language, and the resulting lack of understanding in your writing mitigates in your favour to an extent, but your rudeness is inexcusable. You must stop being so rude to those who do not agree with you, and you must do that without delay.

I don't need to justify myself to you just go back to your hole. And again get a life. Sad and pathetic just shows how dumb you are you still begging to show your ignorance. Go away.
