Finally picked up our tent and sleeping bags today. really pleased with them, some Christmas presents sorted

Just picked up my order and managed to get one of the table and bench sets and four of the two person tents the only item I could not get was one of the small stoves which could not be found but according to the system was picked hmmmm. But you can't complain as they offered me a 10% discount on the other order which I unfortunately had already paid for.

So what if she was?, every product you buy is sold on at a profit, often more than once. I'm sure any profit that's made will benefit someone, when she's spends it with them. It could be the difference that allows her to buy a coffee & cake at her local independent, and that could be the difference that keeps the independant going. Really don't get what you're whining at.

Well they aren't Halfords own brand, the chairs although were supposed to be £35 are very good quality and I have bought pop up chairs before for twenty quid a pop and they collapsed, these won't, regardless of the supposed value they are worth a lot more than I paid, try finding a decent stove for a fiver.

I am happy anyway, I just suppose there is no pleasing some people ;-)

Managed to get the 4 man pop up tent, a junior sleeping bag and a double sleeping bag. Had no intention of buying a tent but that's what hukd does to me.

If my maths is correct I got goods previously priced at £441 worth for £56, bargain.

A great deal, but let's not pretend that stuff is worth £441. As far as I know all that stuff is effectively halfords own brand/exclusive so nothing to compare it with for real world value. :smile:

I went to the one in Speke retail and there were empty shelves.

If my maths is correct I got £441 worth for £56, bargain.

I was working in a nearby town today and thought I would just pop in to Halfords on the off chance. I managed to find a couple of items that I wanted (not showing as available on the website), however, the saucepan/kettle set was only reduced to £20 (from £25) and the pop up sieve was marked at £4 (from £5). I spoke to a member of staff and showed them the reduced prices on my mobile - £5 for the saucepan/kettle set and £1 for the sieve and the lady I was talking to said that she would let me have the items at the prices advertised on the website, so was well pleased. I ended up buying £45 worth of camping accessories for £8.

Great deals - managed to order a shed load of stuff to resell on fleabay - oh no that's unusual - No Stock - Good thing I voted cold before checking. :thumbsup:

I actually posted the tent earlier last week for a tenner and it got to 500 degrees needless to say I opted not to pick that up and went for the £5 ones, cheers op.

I was loading the stuff in my boot when a guy walked past and said is that a folding table for a fiver lol, I said yes you on Hot Deals, he asked if there were any left and the store guy who was helping me said not if they aren't reserved.

I told the guy he could have one of mine for a fiver as I reserved 2 to be on the safe side, he was chuffed, good deed for the day, if you're here mate hope you enjoy the table lol.

Gotta say these tables and directors chairs are well sturdy things

Don't understand why there's something wrong with buying more than one? If you go to the supermarket and see something half price and there's only two left on the shelf do you leave one for the next person to come along who you've never met, never spoken to and will never see...just so they can feel like they've had a good day?

Looked in Halfords today as I was passing and they had the £5 tent up as a display. Just so you know, this single skin tent isn't claiming to be waterproof in any way and it is pretty flimsy. The box said something like 'protection from light showers only.' If you are going to use these tents on fine days only, then I suppose they are a good deal. But certainly don't rely on them in any other conditions or you'll be in for a wet night!

I just bought one of those trollys with extending handle for £2. Was discounted from £20 to £8, and then came up at the till for £2 for some reason. Some hidden bargains to be had

Picked up 2x £5 urban escape beds (previously selling for £50) had to go to different stores and trek a bit but found there was still quite a few bits around including tents so could be worth a trip. Op thanks for sharing.

Went to collect my few bits and they had a Campingaz 907 cylinder from £25 to £2 so worth checking the shelves if your Halfords does gas bottle

If you take stuff to the till you'll probably find that they just havent updated the shelf prices and the price is actually as per the website.

Lincoln Tritton Road store, very little in stock and what they did have wasn't as cheap as what was advertised online anyway

I was in the Keighley Halfords a while ago and they had loads of the two and a few of the four man tents (none of the Urban Explorer ones with 3000mm HH that I could see though)

Got a Picnic table with benches, a picnic table with stools, two directors chairs, a double gas grill thing and a gas regulator... all for £27. Thank you op for spotting this.

They pick the orders after the store as opened, this allowed me to get 2 table and chair sets, 2 directors chairs with side table and a cooking set. They opened at 9 and i managed to buy before the orders were picked :ninja:

Don't pay attention to the website's store availability checker. It told me there were no £5 dome tents available in my local store. When I went there, there were loads on the shelf...

Just popped into my large local Halfords not much there but got a couple of bargains. Some stock had been reserved but it looked like only a few of the bigger items. I don't think Halfords had much stock anyway and very little left on the shop floor.

Took ages but managed to get a 2 and 4 man pop up tent from my local. Not great quality tents but good enough to give camping a nash with the kids and see how we get on!

Finally got to the checkout page after 1hr of refreshing the site to discover none of the items I want are available at any store within about 50 miles from me.

Bah - the site is a new level of annoying for a Monday morning. Put 4 things in my basket, one is available at "local" store. Checked other stores, and got 4 available about 10miles away.... don't have a car, not likely to travel that far by bus, spesh if not guaranteed to be there. Ah well, great deal for some!

I wouldn't bother - there's no stock, and one suspects, half of it was never in stock in the 1st place.

Website keeps crashing :disappointed: going on holiday next week as well so would be perfect. As soon as I go to check out it crashes and empties my basket.

In the end I gave up! Plus, the chances of it being there when you get in store mean it's just not worth it!

pretty much nothing left anywhere, that's if you can get it added to the basket in the first place. Keep an eye on ebay/facebook/gumtree, most scalpers will want 2-3x

Ring them to make sure they have your order ready, like someone already mentioned people can walk in before the workers pick from the shelves. I just walked in and got some bits then then they took all the stock off the shelves

Looking at your screen shot, you went onto the site via the WhatsApp notification. The staff at most Halfords branches will have either retired or died before you get the WhatsApp notification!!

Completely sold out of everything at Ellesmere Port, was first there this morning. Online orders crashing the system and hot phones ringing. The lads have taken all stock for online orders . Which wasn't a lot to be honest. I did manage to get a few bits

A word of warning, If you buy the pop up tent make sure you put it up in your garden first because you'll need to practice folding it away and we ended up watching a few youtube videos explaining the method.Once you've done it a few times its simple to do.
