...Birmingham Citadel Salvation Army is marking its 125th year with free city-centre concerts on Saturday 16 September outside Birmingham Cathedral in St. Phillip’s Square at 3.30pm and 17 September in Rotunda Square (the Bullring) at 4pm...
Free concert? It's not for entertainment purposes, it is promoting religion, just like many Churches have a "Free Organ Recital" or "Free Choir concert" every Sunday evening!

Aren't the Sally Army also the ones with an appalling reputation for LGBT prejudice too?

Just because it is from a website of a certain political persuasion doesn't render it invalid. This particular article does back up it's points and doesn't just spew them with no basis. I'm sure the salvation army have done some great things but they've also contributed to some not so great things and attitudes.

I hear their rendition of the Slayer classic Angel of Death, is quite sublime.
