I've got 4 or 5 of these, they're really handy. I'm thinking of repurposing an old phone into a sat nav and one of these will give it internet and current traffic info.
I'm not sure what's not to like with this freebie? I'd assuming it's the kids who think that they should live their life purely through their mobiles and demand 5gb+ a month so they can stream youtube videos of dancing cats....

That Data WON'T last 5 minutes in ANY half decent Sat Navy set-up/configuration like?. :-(
Sat Nav time would rather best be spent installing 'Off-Line' Map's instead, etc?.
Then rather use your 200mb purely for your 'LIVE' Traffic Updates Instead, or whatever?.
That to me would be a far better use of only 200mb worth of data f you ask me ...

I think Google maps navigation consumes 1MB/mile. But you can download bespoke areas. I have yet to encounter an offile satnav (eg I used to use Tomtom) or partly online app (tried Navmii and WeGo Here) that is so reliable at looking up new destinations.

Are people actually getting the 200mb refreshed every month? I signed up for one of these, activated it and everything, but once I used up the 200mb I never got any more. Even the online portal says I have no data allowance. Am I missing something?

Been waiting ages for mine to be delivered, I had one delivered and thought it was this but it was a regular PAYG SIM I had requested weeks ago, lol.
Also, the link in the post doesn't seem to go anywhere? Have a FreedomPop SIM in my iPad but being able to use the Wuntu app would be quite nice.
Edit: I assume you have to keep the SIM active, does using the 200mb data each month count?

I don't even use the data but because I keep my old spare mobile charged and switched on the 200mb pm keeps auto refreshing , had it since last year

Do you do anything to keep the SIM active like making calls etc? Or has it stayed active without anything whatsoever as I'm wanting to use mine in an iPad but only in emergencies so I'm not looking to spend anything if possible.

Just keep SIM active by keeping phone charged/switched on 24/7, it only has data, no minutes/text.

ok great found what you're saying about the free sim, but will that be ok for the 200mb as they say the 200mb is a data sim ? The free sim usaually appplyies to the 123 sim right ?
