Seems inevitable at this point, doesn't it? What with all other Final Fantasy titles being released/ported to PC and released on Steam these days. But going by how long it's taking XV to come to PC (first released on console November 2016, coming to PC Q1 2018) I'd say this (XII) will be on PC sometime in the latter half of next year at the earliest. Any earlier would be a pleasant surprise though!

I'd say its very unlikely as it was a playstation only final fantasy like final fantasy x which has only released on playstation consoles. I want to be wrong as I would much prefer to play this on pc and I'm thinking of just emulating it instead

X and X-2 were remastered and released on PS3, PS4 and PC. That's pretty much what I basing this on. Now that XII has been remastered for PS4 it would be a lot easier to port to PC because the PS4's architecture is a lot closer to a PC's, and the general trend these days seems to be that Square Enix is bringing as many Final Fantasy games as possible to Steam - it's got Type-0, which was a PSP game originally but then got a PS4 HD remaster which led to a PC release, XIII was only on consoles for 4 years, then it somewhat unexpectedly appeared on Steam and the other XIII games followed, plus a variety of remakes and ports for other consoles (from the DS version of III to the mobile version of IX) have been released on Steam (and I see the PC version of IX just got released on PS4 today!).

Good price, but this is the game that killed the Final Fantasy series for me.

This or Kingdom Hearts?! Haven't got time for both but both very similar prices at the moment and similar styles of games!
Anyone had experience of both and can give an honest opinion please?

I'm just playing FFX remaster for the 1st time, having not played FFX before and being relatively new to final fantasy. Currently 98 hours in and loving it
Thanks OP, heat added!

fyi, some ebay accounts have a £10 off voucher and base have this for around £22 on there. If you want this game and have the voucher you can get it for £12 which is a nice bargain

Worth it, decent game, but some sections were very annoying, actually thinking about it large portions of this were annoying.
Story and combat is good but it's a definitely a bit of a grind.

The best FF there was. Very criticised at the time, but the combat was revolutionary in how fast it was without having to press same buttons over and over. If you are a programmer you will love the gambit system. Sadly, it was so berated by die hards that it led to the most dumbed down FF next , 13. And FF hasn't fully recovered since imho.
