I contacted quidco regarding this about 5 days ago and here is their response;
"Hi there,
I've taken a look at your account and can confirm that at the moment your cashback is going through the normal process. Cashback from Zavvi generally takes around 2-3 months to be confirmed so at the moment we are still within the expected time frames.
If your cashback doesn't confirm within this time scale then please be assured that our dedicated payments team will already be chasing up the retailer in order to obtain these funds for you as soon as possible. As soon as we receive this payment then this transaction will update to "confirmed" on your activity page here.
I do hope this reassures you and please don't hesitate to get back in touch if there is anything else we can do to help.

I think I am going to cancel now after receiving the following email message today from quidco. It seems too much of a risk seeing that you receive the game, play it or not open it and hope you get your cashback.

Nobody should make a purchase based on the cashback as it's never guaranteed.
In my case it was well the game is selling for £50 so I'll pay £50, if the cashback comes off then all the better! If not then I haven't lost anything as I'd have bought it on release day anyway.
Nice little incentive offered by quidco/zavvi but I suspect few to none will actually get the £20 back.

To be honest they changed the deal from £20 (first 500) to £15 (first 1000)......so they could then make it go down to £10 (first 1500) and then £5 (first 2000)

I have pre-ordered from Zavvi before and can confirm that my order was delivered on release day, but main thing for me is whether they will authorise the cashback as if they decline and I have to pay £49.99 then I would rather go elsewhere. It really wouldn't surprise me if zavvi don't issue the cashback to anyone and this cashback offer was just to increase orders!

Quidco don't usually pay the 'bonus' just the usual cashback. I've had loads not paid so just use TCB. Who don't charge £5 unless you upgrade to premium.

I have never used quidco before but I read somewhere unless I misread this but I remember reading that zavvi review the claims and start processing the cashback after the return dates so I assume that is where the issue lies. Please correct me if I am wrong!
