Good find. Got one myself. Also got a 45 min Duracell charger for £3.75 with 2AA and 2 AAA rechargeable batteries.

Worth remembering fast chargers greatly decrease the number of charges a battery will take. It generates more heat and upsets the balance between longevity and utility.

Agreed. We use them in our office and the death rate of batteries is much greater than with my 3hr Duracell charger. Great that you can charge them so quickly though - super convenient. It rarely if ever gets to this price
So hot. And hot.

I have about 40 AA batteries, best charger I have ever bought is this one, had it 2 years and charges each battery separately so no over charging. amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

Check out the Youshiko YC4000 (or similar) on Amazon, its sold under a number of brands (all more or less identical) I have the 7dayshop branded model and it cost less than £15. With these chargers you can control the charge current, measure how much capacity a battery has left, measure voltages etc. Buying a fast charger like the one above will do the batteries no good at all. I've been using smart chargers for years and i'm still using batteries bought in 2008 and they've only lost 100-200mAh of their rated capacity (2500mAh energizer cells) They go through 2-3 charge cycles per month and are used in demanding applications such as compact cameras, DSLR battery grips, high power torches, flash guns etc.

If I was
responding to your post specifically I would have quoted it Phil (like now for
example)
I was merely
responding to the deal as whole and giving my opinion on the downsides of rapid
Battery charging. FYI on a site like this
most people know what a customer use handheld scanner looks like, the picture
is pretty self explanatory.
Some
people should take lessons on forum etiquette.....

Never realised how rubbish my decent rechargable batteries had become after using a charger like this. Got a smart charger and realised that the fast chargers ruin good batteries.
