Great bit of kit - I bought one at the weekend. Only downside is that it is pink, but I can live with that for £15

Is there a way to make it play on battery mode at all. Mine only plays when plugged in ?

You have to charge the battery before it will play on battery only. Push 'Info' button to scroll through options, will show you charge level. If not charging, then it might be faulty.

Water resistant only, so not a shower radio.

What now? What do you have coming out of your shower?
From the website:
Top features:
- Water-resistant design makes it ideal for use in the shower

- Up to 17 hours playback from a full charge
Water-resistant design
You can take RA-D11-P into the shower to enjoy your favourite radio stations. With its water-resistant design and adjustable hanging loop, you can hang it around your shower, letting you wake up and refresh while listening to music easily and safely.

Unless your shower is completely pathetic, then something like a radio would need to be waterproof not splashproof.

I've bought this to replace a plastic, relatively cheap, "shower-proof" FM radio I've had for over 20 years (which still works but isn't DAB). Why would it need to be water proof? My shower is a power shower and water does get everywhere, but if there's no risk of it falling into a bath and being fully submerged then it will be absolutely fine.

Just picked mine one up. Sound is OK and looks good for the bathroom ....I have had mine in charge for about 30 mins and it's up to 16 on the charge. I assume that's out of 100. When I tried it on battery only it lasted for 10 secs. I week wait till it gets to a 100 and try again
