Voted hot. I have this phone. Looks just like S8+. Checked with antivirus. Very beautiful screen. Comes with free screen protector and case but no headphones.

I read about the Malware on Cubot phones, they have just moved the malicious files into the telephone dialer app. Here is the link, techweez.com/201…re/

I tried but , could not find the malware apps in the phone.

That's why Cubot moved the Malware into a different place so it made it harder for Anti Virus to pick it up. Leave it with me and I will try and find how you test for it. Cubot actually did a OTA update that moved the Malware file shady barstewards.

Umm very interesting you just don't know who you can trust, are they all at it & the bigger names just better at hiding it? I bought a Cubot R9 from Laptops direct not long ago and while I am happy with the phone I am wary of the Adds & notifications that pop up as I am unaware of where they come from or whether they are genuine so tend not to react to them. I had read about the Wireless update app as it kept nagging me so Googled it & discovered how to block it (I hope). I suppose if they can't be trusted it is sensible not to use them for anything vulnerable.

Going by this video:
Decent build quality, Micro-SIM (Dual-SIM with separate MicroSD card slot), all-plastic phone, removable battery, 18:9 display (there will be black borders if your media doesn't support it), LED notification, has task manager/home/back buttons on the display rather than capacitive buttons, pretty much stock Android - no bloatware, only basic sensors - no Gyroscope, good GPS, no quick charge, front selfie camera is good (also has a flash), rear camera can over-expose in low-light but it's good for the price of the device, decent battery life.

Doogee do this too. Xiaomi or nothing as far as Chinese phones are concerned.

Agreed. As someone who unfortunately owned an Elephone at one point, I really suggest sticking with Xiaomi or Huawei if you're going to buy a phone from a Chinese manufacturer. No support, plus nefarious manufacturers and crappy MTK chipsets make for a bad, bad combination.

Oneplus makes very good phones too without any Malware and have UK B20 band. Many Xiaomi phones like MI 6 lack B20 band. Mi Mix 2 is a good Xiaomi phone I like. Waiting for Mate 10 with Kirin 970 from Huawei.

People need to stop this obsession with B20. If they used a decent network then this wouldn't be a concern.

It is not an obsession . It is a fact . You cannot deny the truth because you live in the dream world or in China where they do not use B20. You can buy a vintage feature phone on 2G and be happy with it like an illiterate person . But that will not change the fact that all UK networks support B20 and have heavily invested in it. All the 4G phone s sold by networks support B20 The mobile signal travels further at lower frequency like with B20. . In America they also use 700mhz and 600mhz bands for the same reason. We want faster and better mobile reception not slow crappy connection so phones need to support all the bands esp B20 which is the best UK 4G band. Just because you say the earth is flat , will not make it flat.

The network I use doesn't use B20. I use 4G on a phone which has no B20 support and it works perfectly. It is more than possible to use a non-B20 phone and 4G data in the UK as long as you subscribe to a decent network.

You are a liar. There is no UK network which does not use B20 . Unless you are not in UK .

I use 3 and I am literally typing this over 4G using a Mi Max that has no Band 20 support.
Next time get your facts right before you start talking bollocks and throwing accusations and name calling around.

Three UK uses B20 band as well. Just because your phone does not support B20 does not mean 3 UK does not use it. All the 4G phones Three UK sells support B20 band as well. Just because you use a phone not made for this country does not mean others should boycott B20 band and use phones made to work in China.

Regardless, I have proven to you that you do not need a B20 supported phone to receive 4G service in the UK. My phone travels everywhere with me, including on trips across the country, and never fails to connect to 4G a signal. Incidentally it's also received 4G when I've used it while roaming in Portugal, Turkey and a few other places in Europe.
sam_of_london to Spark
3 Oct 17#45
You can do that with a 3G and 2G phone as well. But to tell others B20 is not needed is wrong. To get the full 4G advantage B20 is necessary .

Christ alive. My phone is constantly connected to 4G regardless of where I am in the UK/Europe and despite the fact it doesn't support B20. I'm not sure what else to tell you tbh.

Next you will be saying London is not in UK and we still have old analog TV in UK. All the networks and Offcom have spent billions to make 800 B20 band work for mobile networks in UK which was released and auctioned when Analog TV stopped . They also gave free filters to stop interfere from B20 band. So you want to rewrite history to make your lie work.

I honestly don't believe what I'm reading. I've been to London for work several times with this phone and it connected to 4G no problem. Unless you can speak from personal experience like I can then I suggest you stop because you're just looking silly at this point.

hotukdeals.com/com…012 "You won't accept your opinion is not applicable to everyone else. You continue to ignore the fact people with non B20 phones use 4G perfectly fine."
"This is a deals site. People are enticed at the idea of spending less for what they need/want. If they don't want to spend more on something they don't need, that's their choice but you cannot accept that and try to dictate it for them. B20 is not essential. Stop lying to other people about the implications of not having it, with your biased opinion."
"Your continual lies in favour of your opinion won't change the fact that phones which lack B20 are perfectly useable in UK even on 4G. People have different opinion. You seem to be under the delusion that it's a case of them being wrong and you being right, which it's not. The sooner you realise that, the better it will be for the rest of HUKD."
It's astounding how you can repeatedly display such ignorance and unwillingness to accept anyone else's experience with non B20 phones. Instead you keep trying to impose your subjective views onto everyone. Someone says their non B20 phone is constantly connected to 4G and your response is: "So you want to rewrite history to make your lie work"...
Your logic: You: "I use 4G B20 all the time in London" = conclusive proof that everyone must need B20 Others: "My non B20 phone is connected to 4G all the time" = they're lying because B20 is essential

I have never said that . You can still live in this country with a 2g feature phone or no mobile phone at all. But if you are buying a new 4G phone or recommending one , saying that the best UK 4G B20 band is irrelevant in this country, is definitely telling porkies. Just because you are deaf , dumb and blind , telling others to act the same, is wrong. You can act as technically illiterate as you want , but telling others to be illiterate like you is wrong.

Depends what size of phone you like mate . This cubot looks huge , but does look like a lovely screen . I have the x4 and it truly is a great phone , I just prefer a 5" screen due to being out cycling all the time and don't want to carry a phablet .

Cubot make awful products. Compare for example the Cubot V2 activity tracker to the Miband 2. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole personally, same goes for GearBest generally speaking.

That's the thing with these good value Chinese phones, they're great for the money but they're dodgy as hell with all that data collection. Perhaps that's where they make their money from selling our data. Shame.
