Came across this in my search for a replacement keyboard and headset, couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else at the moment, and its a good £30 cheaper than most places.
From what I can tell its got good reviews too.

Compared to what? Most backlit gaming keyboards with cherry mechanical keys are pricey. If you're comparing it to a membrane keyboard (same tech as used in remote controls) then it will seem very pricey.

Am not a gamer so was wondering compared to a standard £5 keyboard.

There's a fair bit of difference. Main things being the key actuates before it hits the bottom the stroke unlike standard rubber dome keyboards that need to make full contact at the bottom which also stops unregistered key presses (ghosting). Other things include build quality life expectancy of the keys.

I could have got this for £35 when i was working for Currys but i was a dumbass back then and never understood keyboards. Boss just asked everyone there is this keyboard lying around in the back and barcodes not working and not registered to stock who wants it £35 quid.

There really isn't that much to understand about keyboards its an input peripheral for the computer, i have a relatively basic Labtec keyboard which ive owned for about 3 years now and it does the job just fine.

Beware Corsair - once something breaks you're abandoned. I've been trying to get the "keyboard leg kit" (it has a Corsair part number, etc.) for a while now and they just couldn't be bothered stocking it - no vendor has it anywhere in the world that I've tried and Corsair can't seem to bother to put some stock together and just don't care. $200 USD K70 is now hobbled by a piece of plastic the thickness of a paper clip snapping.

Took 3 weeks for them to finally get something sorted through their ticket system. Phone support is useless because it all goes by the ticket system. A nightmare.
