Now I'm sure there are cheaper mid-week breaks available when the kids are in school, but I think this is brilliant for those wanting a nice pre-Christmas holiday 22-24 December. I'm sure it will be magical at that time of year. If you only wanted a one day pass this would reduce the cost a lot, but I've included a 3 day pass which is the same price as a two day pass
First off, book flights with easyjet.com £205.40 from Southend to Paris Charles de Gaulle. You can go from Luton for a bit extra to give you earlier arrival times and later departure time.
With you being at a Disney hotel you will be close to the action with free shuttle buses and only 10-15 minutes walk away so even though you don't arrive until probably around 6-630pm by time you arrive at the hotel you can head straight into the park.
I've updated the main part of this deal as I've found a proper Disney hotel. The Santa Fe which includes:
+ Accommodation + Disney Parks Entrance Tickets + Access to all attractions and shows + Meetings with the Disney Characters at your hotel and in the Parks + Access to visitors' car park and hotel car parks + Access to the various services of the hotels including free shuttles to the Parks.
Breakfast isn't included but by being in the Disney hotel you get the magic hours, so early entry from 8am before the parks open and reviews indicate you are only 10-15 mins walk to the park, not 20 so it's ideal instead of waiting around for the bus if you want to walk.
The important thing is to book it on the French version of the website as you get a huge discount for some strange reason it is far cheaper than the UK site.
It works out at €693 for the two nights for a family of 4 and includes all tickets too, I translated it with Chrome but for some reason the screen shot now shows it in French as it reverted back mid screen shot.
Converting the Euro to GBP works out at £613.67.
To give you a comparison, the same hotel booking on the UK Disneyland Paris page for the same dates is over £1k.By booking on the French site you are saving a HUGE £400.33p!!!!
Total trip price plus flights and hotel £819.07/£204.76pp

Looks good. I've got to ask though on the Friday you don't arrive until 5pm and that's landing so are you going to get any use out of that day? Or just planning on using it for the whole of Saturday and half of Sunday by the time you have to start leaving for home?

Hmm I don't know, I'm not sure what time Disney is open til? There are flights from Luton which depart in the morning on 22nd and return on 24th later, so this could be another option too.

Disneyland normally closes at 10pm. Landing at 5pm is late. It will be 6pm by the time you get to the hotel.
I've just returned with my 3yo and it's all she talks about

It's the next offer when you go on the site. I selected the date for 22/12 and those were the ones that came up. Edit: Hang on I realise what I've done, it's the two day ones. Just checking something give me a second.

Guys, I've updated it, the price has gone up but I've found an amazing deal including tickets and staying in a Disney hotel, the Santa Fe here which I think is great value as you get the park passes and the shuttles and it actually works out better value.
You must book it on the FRENCH site, the price doubles on the English site.

Good price but will be insanely busy. We've been late November/early December before.and much more enjoyable. End up skipping a day or so school which around that time seems to just be xmas play rehearsal!

If you can go outside of school holidays it will be cheaper and less busy, I agree.
You do get the magic hours with staying at the Disney resort so you can get in earlier each morning which may be less busy.

From October it becomes the ‘magic hour’ 9-10 now. They are also changing the rides that are open and you have access to the studios instead of just the Magic Kingdom.

I can't see the 24/12 yet but on their website this is the opening hours for 22 and 23 December. On the Saturday extra hour and half at the studios. With Sunday being Xmas Eve it may be the same.

Hot deal, But Hotel Santa Fe is a sorry excuse for a hotel. If you can get this deal at the Newport bay hotel for a bit more money you won't be disappointed, and it's closer to the parks. Even if it is for 3 days.

Attraction tickets direct are what we've used before but if going for 3+ days I'd recommend an annual pass...works out about the same and the benefits are good

We have annual passes so get discount on the hotels but always cheaper to stay off-site and you usually get free buses from most surrounding hotels. Good price for onsite though

Change the language, I'm on mobile so top left hand side, then on the bottom where it says UK English, change it to Europe, then France, use Google Translate if you can't understand French.

I've never been but go to Florida a lot. People have told me the hotels here don't compare to the deluxe ones at Disney Florida (which admittedly cost a lot more than this) which has put me off. Anyone on here been to both and can comment? Cheers.

I've been going a lot since getting annual passes last year. I always stay self catering and trips have been about £150 a head for about 5 days. Obviously longer trip, more expense... I've had 5 trips since October.

I go to Disneyland a lot and I had a look around Santa Fe last time I was there and it's basically a motel, not even as 'nice' as a Travelodge. Disney is a lovely place, but to put it in perspective I'm going Christmas week with hubby and our 6year old and 2 year old, staying in the Disneyland hotel with full board premium dining plan (which includes the princess meal, cowboy show etc), 3 nights 4 days park passes and we're paying £1998 including the shuttle crossing . I know it's a lot more compared to this but it's a 5*hotel with an extra night and a full dining plan (dinner with the princesses alone will cost you 155 euros). The hotel is right at the park entrance and you get extra fast passes for rides for staying there too.
jonhoggy to KittyKate
25 Sep 17#35
So does that include park tickets too ? who did you book through and how did you add on premium dining/show etc ?
KittyKate to jonhoggy
25 Sep 17#36
Yes it includes park tickets for both parks, all days (we arrive around 1pm on the first day). The premium dining basically lets you go anywhere with no supplement, so the princess meal and the shows etc are all included you just hand in your dining voucher as payment. You HAVE to book these in advance, 60 days in advance is the allowed amount as you can't just walk in. But the full board is brilliant, for the same price per person as eating in the counter service rubbish you can eat in lovely fine dining restuarants with a nice drink included. I always book through the Walt Disney Travel Co - hotel and tickets only then I book my travel (we're going on the shuttle as it's easier and only £250 return). Other than a bit of spending money for the kids we don't spend much there are we're eating a 3 course meal twice a day!!

Sorry but you are nuts. Santa Fe is fine. It's better then a travelodge and you seem to compare it to the Disneyland Hotel. I spend most of my day in the parks so that hotel is fine. In fact unless you are planning to spend a lot of time there I think the Disneyland hotel is a waste of money. Sure it's nice, but I'm only seeing it for a couple of hours a day, the rest I'm in the parks / asleep
KittyKate to nick.soapdish
26 Sep 17#39
You might be sorry, but please can you not insult me? At no point did I insult you or indeed anyone who chooses to stay in the Santa Fe. Actually, the reason I mentioned the Disneyland hotel is to suggest that the deal above might not be the best deal as I'm staying 1 extra night in a 5* hotel with a full meal plan for only £1998 which I think is much better value for money. Regardless of how much time you might spend in the hotel; I would rather stay somewhere nearer the park, with facilities such as a pool and a hot breakfast (you do not get this at the Santa Fe), and I think it's good to provide a balanced point of view. Without resorting to insults.

Also to add - if you're not confident using the trains, flying is difficult as CDG is a good 45mins to an hour and 75-100 euros in a taxi or the 'magical shuttle' (done it, AWFUL!). If you land at 16.55 there's no way you'd be in the park for 6.30 as you'd have to go through a long passport control queue, get your bags and then get to Disneyland. I'd say more like 7.30 if you're lucky. I think it's great encouraging Disney holidays, they're great, but as someone who goes 3-4 times a year I wouldn't want your first experience to be a poor one.

Santa Fe hotel and tickets for 20th-23rd December (3 nights, 4 days tickets) is only £325 for me and my 6 year old son Yet if I go through to the French version of the site its coming in at €699 ! so its not always cheaper to use the French site (although I did the same trick a few years ago and the French version was much cheaper).
Flights from Manchester are not so cheap though, £200 in total with easy jet for 20th-23rd

I've stayed in 4 of the DLP hotels , nothing wrong with the Santa Fe but if Cheyenne available ( usually same price ) then I would choose that one. Have stayed during Xmas period and I'm sure the parks were open later during this time. Yes it is quite busy but not horrendous and is very magical !
