I bought these as a much needed replacement for some older Arc dinner plates that had become chipped over many years use.
Glass plates are much lighter than standard dinner plates, which is very useful for people with chronic health conditions. The simple design makes for easy cleaning. Being thin they require less space for stacking. Microwave safe.
Fully opaque and in my opinon they are presentable. They do not scratch or stain.
Slightly smaller than a standard British plate, and with a wide rim, you might find them restricting at times. Less restricting than the older flat rimmed design. Corelle (USA) make larger glass plates, but they are very expensive to buy in the U.K. Another alternative might be an enamel plate
You cannot buy replacement dinner plates seperately** without buying more side plates. However, given how inexpensive this set is, it is hardly a deal breaker.
Overall ====== Inexpensive, space saving, practical plates. Almost ideal for those with weaker arms. Not as durable as enamel.
**Not strictly true, as I can see individual white plates for sale on Amazon - not sure about the patterned options.

beautiful set made of tempered glass that looks and feels like
porcelain. I like that it is light and thin but tough and chip
resistant, more durable than ceramics or porcelain / bone china. The
pattern is lovely, colours as in the picture, and the whole set can be
dressed up for a formal occasion as well as down for casual dinner. On
the bowls the pattern is set back from the edge by about an inch. There
is a tiny Arcopal label printed into the pattern, only noticeable if
you look for it. The price is great for the quality, delivery was
prompt, and everything was well packaged. Very happy with this.

Cheers, MSK. I had no idea IKEA offered a Corelle rival - I very rarely get to visit stores, but I could see some caravanning/camping forum members discussing all the "tough tableware" options, and this one cropped up.
The IKEA tempered glass range is OFTAST, if others haven't heard of it. 50p a piece is a stonking price!! (range seems to be, 15cm Bowl, 20cm Deep Plate, 25cm Plate, 19cm Side Plate).
The brand you've posted come in black by the looks of things, been looking for black plates for a while. I thought maybe you couldn't get tempered plates that colour, so yours are s winner for me :smile: Ikea are get cheap but just white I think.

I can see two Black Luminarc ranges called Harena and Carine (though Carine rather bizarrely seems to come with both white and black plates in its set).
This isn't a competitive price compared to the others, but I can see the Harena 19pc Dinner Set For Six, at £32.99 delivered here:
