I have one from a previous deal and it seems to work well. I also have an Optimate kind of permanently attached to my motorbike and this has more options/settings although my Optimate is probably about the same age as yours with only a few warning lights.

I have an an old optimate and one of these. The optimate is much kinder to your battery. By 'resting' it periodically it won't fry it over time. This Aldi one will.

I have been using the Aldi one since September 2016. The product looks slighty different from this years model which has detachable clips, but it has exactly the same charging spec and blue ish back light. I use it to charge a 45ah battery and have had no issues. Use it on average once a month or more since sept 2016.
These aren't ctek inside but look similar to the maypole ones on eBay.

The best in the business is supposed to be Ctek, which are intelligent chargers and will never fry your battery. The cheapest though is £36 at Amazon. I have had one plugged into my wheelchair adapted vehicle for about two years, this has a battery drain issue due to all the add equipment some of which is live even when the car is switched off.
Heated for the price.

The previous chargers at Aldi/Lidl looked very similar to the Ctek chargers in design. Some even reckoned they were just as good as intelligent Ctek chargers. These latest ones look totally different. They may be good, but Aldi have replaced previously good products for inferior products in the past.

The Lidl version comes up next Thursday.... I think that is a variant of a ctek one. It's certainly the same one as Lidl have sold for a while.

Had one and used it for three or so years on car, tractor, electric fencing. Seems to do well.
