I thought the same and nearly returned them. I then realised that they have 3 EQ presets and for some reason the high treble setting is the default. Really good for audiobooks and podcasts, but terribly flat for music.
If you triple click on the main button it cycles between high treble, balanced and high bass.
I tried the 'balanced EQ' and they actually sound really good. Easily on par with my £50 Sony Bluetooth earbuds. At that price, these are a steal

I was unimpressed at all EQ settings; they were totally outclassed by both £7 wired Panasonic buds and some random (though hellishly ugly) Bluetooth ones find in TK Maxx for £15.
The clarity was really good for the price, I'll give them that, but a lot of stuff I listen to has most of the detail in the low end and these made it unlistenable if I paid any attention.

Not a lot at all, and I probably would have kept them if they hadn't made me decide that cheap and crappy headphones are a false economy. But someone asked what they're like and the fact is the pair I had were incredibly unbalanced.

I agree. I have been through many headphones around the £20 mark. Best ones I have had so far are some Skullcandy ones, followed by Betron, but many others around the same price mark are really inferior. The most recent disappointment were the Xiaomi ones (the £20 or so ones posted on here). I actually have a Xiaomi phone which I was really impressed with so gave them a go, but they were crap!

Anyone got any links to cheap air pod copies? I only listen to podcasts and audio books on my headphones so bass etc don't really matter.

I'd pay an extra fiver and get the mpow equivalent.
I've got the old versions of these, and whilst they're ok... I do wish they'd sell them without the inline mic bit. It jumps around when I go for a run. I don't need to make calls with these, just want to listen to music.

Really chuffed with these! Tested at gym today, quality sound....DEFINITELY play around with the different size earpieces and attachments to get a secure fit.....now, just hoping durability is good :smile:

I'm not a fan of the sound on any of the EQ settings. Had to increase the bass on my phone to get these sounding good. Not bad for the price though

Not amazing sound by any means; cheap with some comfort and tinny sound. The bass is not there, but what can you expect at this price?
