Was just looking for a few computer parts and found this for almost £100 cheaper than amazon UK price. 954.99 euro plus 6 euro shipping works out around £859 with a non-fee card. A lot of cpu for the price, obviously not for regular use but if you in to cad/high end workstation then a great price The 1920x works out at around £699, again about £50 cheaper than UK stock
edit: Now £886 @ amazon uk and ebuyer if you would prefer to spend extra!

Too bad you need the £300 Motherboard to go with it... but hey, this is the best of the best we're talking about. In that context, very much a bargain.

Just the nature of the beast. If you’re running a 16 core, quad channel RAM beast you need a complex PCB for all the traces, high end power circuitry and plenty of expandability.

Out of curiosity, if anyone's thinking of buying one of these chips, what are you actually buying it for?

To extend one's "e-peen" by bragging about it on the internet of course. Why else would a general consumer want to own one? :stuck_out_tongue:

It's perfect for emulating an office full of politicians: one works, the other 15 sit idle.
