Just launched today, open for pre-order. Decent price of £89. Buy 2 get £25 off, buy 3 get £50 off.
2 drivers inside, 2.5" subwoofer and 0.6" tweeter. It should sound similar if not better to the older Echo, but better design and cheaper price.

They've release a whole host of new bits and bobs, this has a bigger brother too, a clock alarm thing, new TV dongle etc.

Connectivity wise, this has a line out as well as Bluetooth. The first one didn't have either.

They added Bluetooth speaker support to the original earlier this year.

Thanks! I wasn't aware they added it later.

Mine has bluetooth - I use it all the time to connect to my pc for audio. I can't say I've ever tried it with a phone, though.

Same price as the old Echo that hot a heat of 1492 just a couple of weeks ago.
OOPS to the hotties there. People certainly love their Echos.

If there’s not at least a tenner off these on Black Friday I’ll be amazed.

I really doubt they will offer a better deal so soon. I feel this will be sold out and hard to get before the holidays. Their multi-buy savings are good as of launch.

This doesn't seem any better than gen 1 the volume control is cheaper and sound is only as good?

So they've improved it AND knocked £60 off the price of the previous entry?
Aren't I glad I paid £150 for the 1st gen

Now now Buzz no fibs. We all know you’d never pay full price for anything :stuck_out_tongue:

Just read that the calling and dropin features should be available soon, about time too.
Love the look of the Echo Spot.
For anyone worried about the price pre order vs Black Friday, I'd take the punt and if the price drops a few weeks later (which I doubt, on singular items, it's usually multi buys), surely Amazon would refund the difference if you ask nicely, no?
