It's like Tesco don't want me to lose weight.

Tesco make lovely croissants. 3rd to Costco croissants and Marksies, which are the best. Asda WERE nice, but the packs are bloody tasteless now. Dunno if the loose ones are better, they used to be but as the packs are bad (AWFUL actually) then the singles will be too now Lidl's are OK. Not great but better than Asda and cheapish

Actually, I find the opposite, Tesco croissants have deteriorated in quality, while Asda ones are better in comparison. I definitely prefer Asda ones. Lidl ones are amazing, if a bit too rich

Interesting, that. Always used to swear by Tesco. Last lot I got (my daughter her husband and my gorgeous grand-daughter were up for the Great North Run) were a bit disappointing - I just put it down to me, not the croissants. So you reckon they've gone down in quality like Asda's ? Maybe try Morrisons, not that I'd expect much there. Never tried Morrisons, always intended to, never did. But disappointed with Tesco's mind. I think you'll find packs of Asda are tasteless now Lidl's aren't bad but not particularly good either

Morrisons aren't much better in my opinion, however, I think may be because they are the least salty, which is healthy I suppose. These days, I actually walk to Asda purely because I find their croissants the best of the lot. Lidl is too far to go only for croissants.

Costco's or Marksies. Can't fail with either Problem with Costcos you have to buy too many and freeze them Ditto with their gorgeous Muffins. But you dont want 8. Yopu want ONE or maybe two - even there you tend to cut in two and save the other half for later - not so Croissants !

Try Aldi .. the loose ones, not packed only available where they have a bakery in store, very yummy and very flaky

These or only half to two thirds the size of a 'proper' Tesco Croissant so bit of a cheat IMHO.
