Just purchased this for £9, ONLINE (click and collect) looks like a bargain. I brought my last one for £19.99, stopped working yesterday after 2yrs of service.
This looks like a great price for the same size, just hope it will last long. Reviews are good on Asda site.
Create the perfect rice dish using this hassle-free and stylish rice cooker. With two settings, cook or warm, the compact rice cooker couldn't be simpler to use and comes with a non-stick rice spoon for serving up beautifully uniformed portions.
The stainless steel design with contrasting black details and heatproof handle for safe handling will look perfect on any kitchen worktop.

Ours last about a year and then get dumped but learnt recently its usually the thermal fuse that "breaks". Take out the old one by unscrewing the bottom of the rice cooker and replace thermal fuse, mine cost 10 for £1.30 from ebay and it works again perfectly !

When you used the asda one, was it also suitable for cous cous steaming?

Think I will get one of these for making paraffin wax chain lube for my bike will beat messing up the kitchen. Don't bother buying experience chain lubricants this is proven to be the best and costs very little.

Looks like a Sanyo rice cooker we used from the mid 70s but can't go wrong for £9.
I looked at my rice cooker and its the same one, wonder how much I got it and when? I recommend a bigger unit in which you can put a bowl inside and plastic insert making it a steamer. Wilko has same but with aluminium steamer bit on top.

Do these really work better than just using a pan? I use the Tilda method and frankly, its perfect every time.. tilda.com/our…ti/
Just looks like another thing that sits in a cupboard and rarely used..!

That's Indian rice. Indians cook rice differently. White people generally follow the Indian method.
