Seems like a very decent piece of equipment for the price. It includes UK adaptor which I counted in.

60w is very large for modern electronics.

Adjustable temperature controlled soldering irons: 200-450 °C

I think it's adjustable and 60W is just as powerful as it gets. The temperature ranges between 200-450 degress

Cold - NO EARTH!
And I bet it isn't double insulated either.
Wear rubber gloves as there is a risk of electrocution when the element fails.

Looking at the listing, the UK version is actually fitted with a UK 3 pin plug, not an adaptor as per the OP's post, so they might have fitted a 3 core flex if you are lucky. Check for continuity between the tip and the earth pin if you buy it, and if the tip isn't earthed put it in the trash.

Or tighten up the earth connection. It seems quite common on soldering stations from China to either leave the earth wire dangling inside or not tightened down. For all the time it takes it seems strange. Maybe they don't understand how serious an issue it is.

Commented before on this, have one with three pin plug and there's continuity from earth to tip. If failed it would trip .

Reading the OP's post and a quick glance at the product listing mislead me into believing it was fitted with a 2 pin plug and supplied with a uk adaptor, hence my initial post.
Having seen the varying build quality and cost cutting of Chinese goods, I would still recommend anyone buying this to check for earth pin to tip continuity before first use.

Sounds like it's time to get Big Clive on the case!
But, if he took one apart, I think there's a fair chance he'd find it isn't actually temperature controlled and doesn't have a temperature sensor, just a triac based dimmer circuit, like the banggood one see:- zimagez.com/ful…php
Might as well cut your bread with a stick, it'll be easier than soldering with the POS.

Bought one similar to this from Amazon. It really is cr8p.

very cheap electric goods from china = dangerous equipment.
For the few pounds saved it is not worth potential danger. I have bough a few cheap transformers/equipment with allegedly uk plugs to find they had no earth cabling.
Just buy them from cheap uk suppliers instead. You really are not saving much.

I agree spend more money and buy a branded one that has been tested to UK standards and will not electrocute you.

I have something very similar to this but with earth clip. It doesn't have enough thermal capacity for some jobs, for example I wanted to remove a connection to a small/thin copper plate on a power supply that I was fixing and it couldn't do it. However, it was good for the Sn/Pb wires for small jobs. Plus, I wouldn't trust that temperature dial.
I just ordered the "Hakko" T12 DIY Kit for about $10 ... got some good review on Youtube.
My advice is to save your money ... and get the T12 kit.
