I'm on Plusnet and signal reception is a bit hit and miss. It's still better than 3. I wonder if EE customers get a better signal than Plusnet who only piggyback on their network?

we moved from Virgin to PlusNet and my daughter had poor signal at her school on PlusNet when she didn't with Virgin even though they were on the same network. Talked to PlusNet as I thought it could be a sim issue which it turned out it was but they said they cannot guarantee the same signal as EE or any of the other EE networks. Many of these types of services prioritise networks differently.

I imagine you get what you pay for. EE customers pay more and probably get better reception and services. My brother is on Vodafone and he says that is really good for reception.

Plusnet doesn't "piggyback" like Virgin dies. Plusnet IS EE, it's wholely owned sister company just as BT is. The signal nor Internet is any different between EE, BT or Plusnet.
Be aware that some functionality is not available on Plusnet. Conditional Call Forwarding for example. Means I can't use the likes of Hullomail which is why I left them.

Conditional call forwarding does work if you type in the divert codes

The deal is undoubtedly good, but I wouldn't go for it. I value the coverage before the price, and not even EE (who has the best 4G coverage) is too good. I wouldn't consider any company not using EE coverage. Among them, the cheapest is Virgin.

they are the cheapest monthly contract on the EE network, and coverage will be the same just not the strength, they are also owned by BT who own EE. Virgin are a separate company with at the moment terrible customer service who are only offering a 12 month contract, why tie yourself up to a 12 month deal when the likes of PlusNet, ID and hopefully vodafones new service are shaking up the market.

Honestly, I haven't had issues with customer service or the service itself, and I use them both for mobile and broadband (best speed with no competition at all). I came to the UK on February this year, and did a research on them all. Out of all the EE coverage, Virgin seemed the best deal for me taking into account price, roaming included, contract length and GB. My contract is per month, not 12. Maybe it has changed now.
I didn't choose PlusNet because back in February either 1) didn't include roaming 2) didn't use EE network 3) I read quite a major amount of bad reviews about the coverage. Maybe something changed until now.

I've been on the £5.95 deal from Plusnet for about a year now. Anyone know if they use rollover for their data allowance please? Can't work out how they allocate it - doesn't seem to make sense to me.

questions that always come up.
Can existing customers get this offer - Yes just web chat or call them and they will move you over. Can I port my number from any network - Yes, even EE Which network do they use - EE but speeds may not be as good as EE but they are typically in our area over 20Mb, think we have had 30

Personally I'd pay the extra £1 for 5gb data and unlimited minutes and texts on the uswitch deal. Decent deal none the less.
Please note I have the uSwitch deal and it's worth noting that Wi-Fi calling is disabled on Plusnet.
